Is universal as fun ???

Ok we are making our second trip with the kids to Central FL. we did 5 days in WDW last year and were thinking of the univeral only this time or maybe just one day in disney... my kids will be ages 5 ds, 3dd, 12 month old dd. well what do you thing??? They just have the great deal of 5 days for the price of 2 that we can't seem to beat at all...

in my opinion they would probably LOVE universal so much!! i took my kids when they were about your kid's ages and they had so much fun and we've gone four times since then and will be going again this summer. the five days deal is great and we use up every bit of the five days. they would love toon lagoon and dr. seuss land at Islands of Adventure and would also love the play areas at universal. I dont know maybe its just me and my kids but we seem to love it!

My dd age 7 loves universal!!!!!!! I ask her every time wich one do you perfer to go to (Disney or Universal)It's Universal every time!!!!!! We also go to seaworld each trip!!!! Did i mention we have Ap's to the parks......Cant afford the mouse prices on a (Ap)The mouse is great for some (we just perfer us/ioa Seaworld Bush gardens) and yes once every other year we do go see mickey Hope this help's in some way !

same here. they dont like the mouse as much as they do universal and they would we sometimes go to one of disney's theme parks every now and then if we can afford it!!

Great tips keep them coming i need some good info to talk dh into this... we did sea world last year and didn't think it was all that great at all. we won't be going back there this year.

universal has tons of rides that are appealing to little kids
they have a whole kid zone and kids can almost go on all of the rides at universal(besides the ROTM, twister, and men in black)but they also have jimmy neutron and shrek 4-D
if u guys also did islands of adventure seuss landing has all kids rides then they have the flying unicorn popeye, and spiderman can be fun for some kids....o and that storm ride thingy
anyway these are the tips i have for kids at universal(also the shows are good to see)

The thing that is nice at Universal is the crowds weren't anywhere near Disney crowds when we were there.
At Seuss Landing my 4-year-old could have spent the whole day... and he did spend about half the day. The nice thing is he could ride the rides he wantd to again and again. At Disney we only rode Pooh once, because nobody wanted to stand in line for 40 minutes. At IOA, he rode Cat in the Hat 12 times!!!!
He also liked the play areas which again were not crowded, like the Jurassic Park one and the Olive Oil. He did not want to ride many/any rides which he thought looked scary - like River Adventure, Spiderman, Popeye, Ripshaw Falls etc, but baby swap worked great.
At Universal the kids could have spent hours at Curious George. They also loved ET and Men in Black.
LOTS to do at Universal.
We also did Disney last year and came back. This year we did both Universal and a bit of Disney and I really liked the pace at Universal but Disney (especialy MK) is Disney and there is a feel of magic in the air there for kids and adults. I just can't see returning to Orlando and NOT going to Disney.

we did disney last year for a week and this year we are doing universal. so far mom is the only one excited for the trip lol. i read the board constantly just to read topics and ideas. I hope you enjoy your vacation
