Is UBER in Anaheim

Is Uber X now allowed to pick up at LAX? When I flew into LAX in February only Uber Black was allowed to pick up at LAX.

Uber is still banned at LAX...the trick there and at any airport that Uber is banned is that all of the rental car shuttles are off site....you hop on any of the free shuttles then request the Uber from there. A bit convoluted and more hassle then most are willing to go through but VS a taxi to DL from LAX, you can save a ton.

How does it work at SNA? Can Uber X pick you up there? Do you have to go away from the airport for a pickup? I've never used them and I'm trying to gather all the information I can before our next trip. Thanks!

Thanks for responding! I was keeping my fingers crossed the ban had been lifted! Not willing to hop on a rental car shuttle (travel a lot for business and on those things way too much!). Looks like I'll go ahead and book Execucar for my July trip!.

Thanks again!

Yes, Uber is permitted to both pick up and drop off right from baggage claim and departure areas at SNA.

All airports are different. Some are unrestricted, some are banned all together, some can drop off and not pick up, some are Uber Black only, some can only pick up from the parking garage...it is a feakin mess but experienced travelers know to research and know the tricks of how to get an Uber if needed.

For the casual traveler, if there is an airport restriction like at LAX, alternate travel may be they way to go.

At LAX you have to talk the shuttle bus to Lot C where the Metro buses pick up people. The rental car companies and hotels have gotten wise (and tired) of the Uber trick and usually ask for your reservation when you get on the bus.

Yes, SNA is an airport when Uber & Lyft are allowed in the airport itself. I would not depend on them having a car seat though.
