Is Typhoon lagoon closed for the season?

I keep checking October hours and Typhoon is closed but Blizzard is open. Was there hurricane damage? Will it be open next week when we are there?

I just check the calendar on the WDW website and it shows Typhoon Lagoon open all month long and Blizzard Beach closing for refurbishment on 10/24.

In the cooler months there is usually only one water park opened at a time.... usually one park one months, the other the next months, and so on. They use the down time for refurb.......P

I read it on the www.allearsnet.com site. It was last week. Maybe it was just right after the hurricane. I will call next week before we leave to double check.

I have never been to a Disney water park, i usually go to Water Mania, but it closes 31 oct so we might give typhoon lagoon a go.

IT was opened last week! Had a wonderful time!!

TL & BB are each closed for abt 6 weeks for yearly maintance. They go down 1 at a time, usually starting in Nov.
