of course the kids would love a water park, but just how realistic is it to go to TL mid december? how many hours would we actually spend there before it gets too cold....or waiting for it to get warm enough? i know the waters are heated, but i'm worried about everyone getting sick! i'm not a water person, so if we don't go to TL, that's fine with me :rotfl2: i just don't want to pay the extra (no, we didn't get the water parks & more option) for 2 hours of play time because it's too cold. should i plan on getting there when they open?

It's really going to depend on the specific weather for the time you will be there... It could be warm enough to go to the water park or it might be so freezing cold you would rather go ice skating :rotfl2:

Check the weather for that week before you go then decide, because it could be as warm as 70.. or as cold as 30.. just depends :thumbsup2

I'd say that it depends on what part of the country you're from. We live in Minnesota and it'll have to be less than 65F for us to consider not going. You shouldn't worry about capacity for mid-December though - I, myself, am planning on being there at open because I plan on being there every minute until it closes (hopefully 5pm)!

Our hours are 10:00 to 5:00 every day. The water temperatures are in the 80s, except for Shark Reef. As long as the day is bright and sunny, and not windy you should not have any problems. Just check the weather forecast. People from UK or Canada or the upper midwest are there in almost all weather. It depends on your comfort level, and that of the kids.
