Is Tutto Italia closing in 2008?

I read something about Tutto closing for major renovations in 2008 and that another restaurant will be coming in. Is this true? They haven't been open that long. Are they taking Candlelight packages there?

Tutto Italia is the new restaurant. It replaced Alfredo's last year. It will close for major renovations this year, since it was not renovated when the take-over from Alfredo's took place. It will then reopen, still as Tutto Italia.

I'm not sure anyone knows when it will actually close. I'm sure it was supposed to close in Spring this year, and it hasn't. There was then talk of fall, but myself and several other people have ADRs there for up to December, so I don't think it will close at all this year.

We were just there last week and they knew nothing about any closing. We also have adrs for september.

By the way it was really good for lunch. We definitely could have shared our entrees b/c they were extremely big. Also the lunch menu has changed a little bit.

I have heard they are closing in the fall of '08, but reopening under a different name....a different company I believe. But, I just booked my CP package there, so it will be operating as something or another.

I would be very surprised if the property changes ownership again, within a year after a long-term contract was signed by the current (new) ownership, especially since Disney is already dealing with the current (new) ownership at Disneyland. Was any reason given for the quick turn-around of ownership???

Unfortunately, just because you have an ADR, doesn't mean that it won't be closed during that time. I speak from experience. Two years ago we had an ADR at one of the WDW restaurants and several weeks later learned that the restaurant would now be closed for renovations during the time we were going to be there.

My understanding is that it will be the same company as Tutto Italia, but the building will refurbished and a new name. Tutto was planned as a quick stop gap replacement for Alfredo's by the "new" California based company to give them time to plan and design a full restaurant rehab.

That was what I heard as well.

I also read that it was closing and opening as a new restaurant, not just a new name. I hope I'm wrong because the food there was incredible!

I got CP for 11/28 at 3:45 p.m. for the 6:45 CP. Party of 10, no problems.

I also have an ADR for one of our fall trips...curious about the changes. I was thinking it was to close in Spring of '08 to open as a new restaurant

I called Disney about this and they said it would be open for my late Dec. trip.
