Is TSMM closing for refurb?

I haven't see toy story on any of the lists for October, but the Dibb site that shows FP availability is showing no availability for Oct 15-23. Any thoughts??

Toy Story Midway Mania will undergo expansion in the coming months. When work is complete in 2016, the attraction will include more track allowing even more guest to enjoy this attraction. The attraction is expect to remain open during most of this work.

Maybe the unavailability is related to this work.

Of course there is no availability yet for mid-October, it's not yet mid-August.

As I understand it, the addition of new tracks in the adjacent building to existing TSMM will not impact the current ride.

OP is referring to - people staying onsite should be able to book FP+ until October 23rd. (60 days is October 8th + 14). But DIBB is showing FP+ as unavailable thru October 23rd. Unavailable is shown in a reddish color where as not-bookable yet is shown as grey.

We were wondering this too? Our fastpass day is coming up next week - and as of now, I'm assuming that TSMM won't be available. It would be nice if Disney would say something, like, "hey guess what, I know we make you uber plan months ahead - pick your parks, meals, etc - now we're going to throw a kink into your plans", LOL!

A little OT, but when they say they are adding track, does that mean making the ride longer?, or making a second track? I am not sure I could take more pulling on the cord, as it is sometimes I have to switch mid ride, lol love getting old.

They are making a third track. If they made it any longer there's no way they could say more people would be able to ride. Also, if they were making it longer, no one would be able to ride currently.

None. They were referring to the fireworks at the MK.

You can book two weeks' FP at a time if you're staying on property. So, that means people staying on site have the ability to book into the third week of October right now.

I don't know if the sleuthing discussed in this thread has revealed a potential shutdown, but I think the word "most" is both telling and inevitable. There is no way that the expansion of the attraction won't result in a closure at some point. Simply marrying the new track to the existing boarding area would necessitate that. For people who are thinking that TSMM will magically appear one day with a third track without the attraction ever having been closed, think again.
