Is TSM too jerky

Does anyone think toy story mania would be too jerky for a 10 month old? I remember it spins a lot, but not how much control you have over it?

I have a neck injury so I tend to notice the rides more than most and yes TSM is very jerky. If you are able to hold the baby and not worry about the actual playing of the games, you will be fine. If you will not enjoy the experience if you don't play the game, use baby swap. Enjoy your trip.

I took my son on it when he was 8 months old. he loved the colors. I had him in a sling and was still able to play.

I say Yes. I still had to brace my 3 year old so his head wouldn't flop around. He has some core muscle tone issues and has a hard time anticipating fast movement in vehicles and compensating quick enough. He's 4 tomorrow, and it was only a couple months ago that he was finally able to ride without me keeping my arm around his shoulders.

A 10 month old would be similar, I think. There's a lot of quick lateral movements followed by spinning and sudden stops. I'd be concerned about strained neck muscles.

I see babies on it all the time, though. Makes me nervous...

If you do ride it, sit your baby in your lap facing out, and when the car is about to move, put your hand sort of over their face with open fingers, with your fingertips on his forehead, sort of "holding" his head in place. You'll know it's going to move when the game on the screen is over.

Believe it or not no baby swap on TSM! We were going to do this in Feb and were told they don't have it since everyone can ride. We just took turns! I was kind of surprised.

I took my son on it when he was 15 months and again when he was 24 months. He was fine both times. He actually loves this ride and Buzz, too!

It does jerk a bit though. I remember being worried the whole time he was on it the first time because my husband was holding him and I couldn't tell if he was being jerked around too much and if the bar across his lap was going break his little ribs as he was being pressed against it on the fast turns.

It turned out that he giggled the whole time and loved it, and that I worried the entire time. He had more fun than I did on the ride!!!

I have taken our baby on TSM when she was 5mos, 9mos, and 12 mos, and she was fine. You do need to hold onto the baby on your lap, the lap bar can go down over both of you. I have been able to hold her and shoot, no problems. I would not take a baby on it until they have good neck control and are sitting pretty well however.

TSM really jerked my 4 year old around. I can't imagine taking an infant unless they were in a very snug sling.

I took the baby on when she was 7 months old, she sat in my husbands lap, but she did very well on it. Really liked the colors.

My son was 17 months old when we went to Disney World. He sat in my lap and enjoyed the ride. No problems.

I had planned on taking my 10 month old but he happened to fall asleep at our Fast Pass time. SOOOO glad I didn't.

I just don't think it would have worked for us and *I* certainly wouldn't have had as much fun. :)

my almost 3 year old daughter hit her head if we didn't hold her and her head tight... you can put the baby on your lap and that would help loads, but it would be very jerky i honestly don't even really like the ride because of how hard it whips you around... is it really nessicary to enjoy the ride i wishi there were an option to have a "smoother transition".

Took our 10 month old on it twice in Oct 2008. I held her once and DH held her the other time. We just held her close and she was fine...she laughed when the car spun around!

I thought it was a bit jerky on the turns. I would caution anyone with neck issues to take precautions just in case. You always know when they are coming so it is not a surprise. One ride there was a couple in the car across from me with an infant. It was awake when they got on and fell fast asleep during the ride :) It looked so cute tucked up between mom & dad. I was sooo tempted to take a photo.
