Toy Story is a FP ride at WDW. Does it have a FP option at DCA?

Last time I went to DLR, we stood in line for Toy Story for about an hour, since it didn't have a FP option. Hoping that has changed since last time I was at DLR!!

Thanks!

The line is pretty much 45 min to an hour at all times. If you get there in the first hour of park opening, it could be less. We've gone there straight at rope drop and gotten to ride several times before a line started. Last weekend we went Sunday morning about half an hour after opening and waited 30 minutes.

Yip. Wish they'd get FP for this attraction. Of course, that would make the stand-by line even longer. And the biggest bummer about the long line is that it's a fairly boring queue. Compared to the incredible queue in Orlando, it's like walking onto a 6 Flags ride.

No FP option at DCA but like OP have said get there at RD and you should be able to ride with minimal wait.

Yep. I'd 100% agree except that I don't think it's a "fairly" boring queue - it's an utterly boring queue. My least fave of any ride in either park.

Ironically, as a family that visits both coasts, we usually never do this ride at WDW (primarily because we rarely go to HS when we are there) but always do the RSR fastpass/TSMM first thing strategy at DCA.

Head straight to the Pier and jump on Toy Story. It is possible to ride 2 or even 3 times (if you want) in a row before a line builds. Then go get FP for RSR. That is typically what we do.

It is not a FP ride, but thankfully Astroblasters is, so you can now rest easy knowing you can save yourself from that terrible wait.

Honestlet, I don't know why they made Astroblasters a FP and not TSMM. The standby for Astroblasters sucks now as they keep stopping the line for FPs when it used to move relatively quickly and did not seem to need FP. Contrast that with TSMM.........smdh.

This ride was almost impossible to get FP for IME, you needed to get there at ropedrop, it was worse than RSR, FP would always run out before 10 or 11, so we never rode it. I haven't been back since FP+.

I wish they would reposition Mr. Potato Head so that you could see him in the queue at DCA. Would make it a little less boring.

I waited 15 mins on a slow'ish day in October 2011. California Screamin' was closed, so the guests were distributed to other areas even, normally making lines longer. On a slow day at Hollywood Studios, that darn line is still like 60-90 mins! On that same day we also walked onto Soarin', definitely beating the usual 30-45 mins at Epcot. It is weird how the same ride has different popularity at different parks.

Agree. Worst in the park. It turns into how many times you can pass the same person to the side of you in line.

Great strategy. I think I'll do this - we can always get a FP for RSR, or ride in the single rider line - but I just love TSM and would ride it over and over if I could! Thanks.
