Is Tour Guide Mike worth it???

In my opinion, for me and my family, no! I do not like having to follow a schedule when on vacation unless it is a dinner reservation.

However, if you do not mind being on a schedule and going to the rides he suggests, I think TGM is the only way to go. I have talked to others and they all love TGM and feel that his information is the absolute best.

So does TGM give you a detailed plan for your holiday? Does he tell you which park to go to on what day and in what order to do the rides etc. Just Wondering.

Yup, you got it. It's really a great tool. :thumbsup2

We're local and kinda just show up at the parks. I like the idea of knowing ahead of time all the things to avoid. Would TGM be helpful for me as well? Or is it a planned out vacation sort of thing?

I thought his advice was GREAT! I learned one hot tip that was well worth the money. We used it for our summer trip and our Christmas trip. If you go during a slower time, you may not need it, but we go in June usually and then went the week of Christmas. Both times are very busy. Christmas was nutty busy. We don't follow a schedule, but we knew what to do first to avoid lines. Even over Christmas we didn't wait in lines.

I just bought TGM about a week ago. I was really unsure if I would find his ideas useful as we are looking for a "vacation" and not a "git-er-done! plan". That said, we are going to the theme parks with small children that are really going to want to experience all the thrills available and not spend the day waiting in line.

sooooo worth the $18.95 I spent. I thought of it this way, how much would I be willing to pay to have the line in front of my children disappear just once? We probably won't follow every plan he offered for each park but I did take all of his advice as to which park, which day and to arrive early. I will also follow his pretty detailed touring plan for MK (2 days). For the rest of the parks, I'll bring his plan and keep the tips in mind but basically let our kids decide where and when.

It will help that we have two "nothing much" days planned in our eight day stay.

How far in advance can you get trip details from TGM? We're not going till August but need to make our ADR's mid Feb so should I join before? Will he know stuff like EMH's by then? Sorry lots of questions!

You can join now for your trip. I joined in April 06 for our Dec 06 trip. It takes some time to find and read all the info. You could use the info to make your ADRs in Feb. He will have the info posted as soon as it's available. I used the info to make my ADRs in December back in June.

We were on our 6th trip in December and I picked up several tips.

LOVE TGM, but I try to keep that under wraps (haha real good posting it on the DIS for that! BWAHH) since I don't want everyone to jump in on this awesome find. I love TGM and am using him for my third time. I don't know how I did it before him.

Put it this way...I lost my last 2 days of info for my first trip using him and I hit CRAZY lines and crowds...I vowed never to mess up the TGM way again and this past trip was insanely perfect.
