Is Tip Included in Candlelight Processional Package?

I have booked my in-laws a Candlelight Processional dinner package at Le Cellier. I have given my Visa to pay for the $45.99/person dinner. This is part of their Christmas gift, so I was wondering if the $45.99 includes tax or not? I don't think it does, but I just want to be sure.

I don't want them to have to pay for anything for this special dinner, so what is the best way (besides giving them cash to pay for the tip) to pay for the tip?

In the past the tip was included, I think that this is the first year where just the tax was included.

Tax was included in our CP dinner package last year...DH opted to leave a little extra since he felt we got excellent service. I think WDW dtermines an 18% tip...not sure.

I asked one CM, and they also said that tax and tip were not included (but they seemed foggy on a lot of the details, so I'm not sure how reliable that is.) I must say, it seems a little petty to exclude that, given it's covered on the Fantasmic! packages, and the price is already more than the food would normally cost, by my reckoning.

This year,you didn't have to pay upfront for the Candlelight Processional Package. When you left a cc,it was just a guarantee that you would show up. You have until 48 hours before the time of your reservation to cancel without penalty. For the first time this year,gratuity isn't included in the price.

Your visa won't be charged until the time they have their meal, correct? Someone - your inlaws - will need to sign the cc slip. They could add tip at that time for what they thought was appropriate. Other than giving them cash I can't think of another way to handle it so that you are essentially taking care of the entire meal.
What a great gift for them and how nice of you to think of doing something like that!

What if you used the dining plan for the package? Do you have to pay tip OOP if the since the dining plan includes tips?

If you have the dining plan the tip is included.
