Is Tink visible in the drawer in Tinker Bell's Treasures?

A few years ago, in Tinker Bell's Treasures, you could peek through the keyhole of the little dresser and see tiny little Tinker Bell amid the spools of thread and other items; a scene just like in Peter Pan!

You had to wait, because the light in the drawer would only come on after she'd be flying around the shop for a few minutes. You could follow her progress by the "pixie dust trail" she leaves behind as she flits around the store. ;) You'd see the pixie dust pass down through the dresser's mirror, then there'd be a little knocking sound and the light would come on in the drawer.

For our last two (or so) trips, the drawer part of the effect wasn't working. Tink was still flying around (you could hear her and see the fiber optic "pixie dust"), but she never "landed" in the drawer. :sad1:

We're visiting WDW from 12/6 to 12/11, this year, and I'd *really* like to get a picture of Tink in her drawer; does anyone know if this has been fixed?

the store has been re-done and re-themed. the armoire has been removed completely. tink makes frequent and more visible appearances in the window behind the register. she can be called on demand.

this is how she looked in the drawer before it was removed

WHAAAAAA?!?

No more Tinkerbell store?????!!!!!!?????? :sad1: Did they rebuild a Tink store anywhere?
You know.... I bet they will be building one near the new Pixie Hollow. <crossing fingers> Here's to hoping.
If you don't mind....what does the store look like now?

it's still a tink store. actually, it was cut in half and divided into two stores. Tinker Bell's Treasures became Castle Couture (which sells the generic princess stuff) and Tinker Bell's Fairy Treasures which is Pixie Hollow stuff. and as I mentioned, Tink is still in the store, but in a completely different way

Wheeeeew! Thank you for answering. By the way...when did they make the change to the store? I was there June 2008 and the chest of drawers were still there, but you couldn't see her in there, just the flashing of light when she came over that side of the store. It was still Tinks Treasure from the year before but the store had changed into a store with princess stuff on one side and what seemed like older girl stuff on the other side, jewelry and such. Thank you again for filling me in. :)

We were there in June 09 and my daughter searched the store looking for the drawer with Tink. Finally she asked a CM who said the drawer was not there, but sometimes Tink would fly over from Pixie Hollow - they gave her a bell to ring and then Tink "flew" around behind the register (blinking lights on the wall). At least you could do it any time, not just the morning like it used to be to wake up Tink

All right, you probably think I'm a doofus. But is this store in Magic Kingdom? If so, can you tell me which ride it's near? I'd really like to see this. When I was 3 & 4, I used to pray to wake up and be a fairy. As you can see, it didn't work, so I want to see this fairy flying.:goodvibes, and we'll be there in about 3 weeks! Yay!
Thanks,
Pomcoach:cheer2:

The store is right next to the castle.
It's called:
Tinker Bell's Fairy Treasures

We asked CM if Tink was in keyhole- he said she doesn't do that know and handed my daughter a hand bell and said that it used to summon Tink. When you ring the bell Tink "flies: around the store and ends up on the screen behind the counter. The CM then asks if yiu'd like some "pixie dust" and sprinkles your head with sparklies. My daughters had sparkles in their hair all day- they loved it. This was on Monday September 21, 2009.

Where is Pixie Hollow and what is done there (store, characters, play area?). Is it completed or do you know when it will be? My daughter has become quite a fan of the fairies but I did not know the parks had a Pixie Hollow. We are traveling in March 2010.

Thanks!

1- Go to the Teacups in Fantasyland. Toontown is right up the path from there.

2- It's been there for years.
Far from it being not "completed," it is actually scheduled to be town down and removed at some point in 2010-2011 to make way for part of the new Fantasyland.

Thank you Robo - I have never gone into the tents - it always seemed so crowded. Is it a store or a princess/fairy meeting place - or I guess it would likely be both. Thanks for the detailed scoop.
