Either spell check really did a job on this post or you had a very late night, ;)

I have no idea what you are asking.

Ignore the other post if I have a 930 am flight is getting there 4 hours early too soon to get though the airport

Where are you flying out of? I always get to the airport 2 hrs prior to my flight departure and find that I have more than enough time. I find something to eat, and use the bathroom (at least two or three times!!), and still find myself killing time!! Getting there 4 hrs prior is excessive!! If you are concerned, then get there 2.5 hrs prior. You will have plenty of time to do what you need to do.

If you want to get there 4 hours before, get there 4 hours before. I agree 4 hours before is too soon for me (I'd target 2 hours), but I'm not going to get lost there.

I am hoping I learned from my mistake this time

Btw what time do the stores and food places open

You are the only one who can decide when to get there. You know what pace you move at, how long it will take you to do your things, etc. Look at the map of MCO online--google and you should find one. Maybe read what gate your flight is leaving from for a few days and see if it is consistent. Then you could see how to go from the gate, thru security and then see what restaurants are down the hall, where the restrooms are, etc so you don't get lost. Also, you should be able to find something listing the times when places open.

Some people get there really early, some get there late. It is just up to you. We always do 2 hours or 2.5 maximum when we travel (this is no matter what airport). Although we haven't gotten lost- just follow the signs to your gate- then hopefully you won't get lost.

Have a fun trip

Airlines have a, computer enforced, minimum check in time before your flight for luggage. Sometimes the time is 45 minutes. Many (most) airlines require check in process for luggage checked at busy airports, including MCO, be completed at least an hour before your flight. Some airports, some airlines, the minimum time is down to 30 minutes.

Airlines generally have policy regarding how long before your flight you're allowed to check bags. Three or four hours is typical.

Otherwise it's up to you. One frequent flier said a passenger who never missed a flight is a passenger who's wasted too much time in airports over the years. Most of us don't share that philosophy. Getting to an airport around 2.5 hours before a domestic flight is generally safe.

As the pp said, yes, 4 hours is too early. Two hours ahead of time is plenty, IMO. I am always paranoid that we will hit traffic, hit a long line at security, etc. so I make sure we get there 2 hours before our flight. With that said, I am a "better safe than sorry" person, but I would never get to the airport 4 hours ahead as that is just way too much time ;).

Two hours was plenty with us even when we had four children to herd through.

I'd be bored to tears with 4 hours. But if that makes you feel comfortable, go for it!

Thanks so I will arrive at 730 knowing I have plenty of time

I love autocorrect. :)

I want to be walking through the doors of the airport at 2 hours before my flight. Not parking, not in an elevator, not pulling up, but walking in.

I know what you mean about feeling like you ran a marathon; I just hate getting sweaty having to rush rush.

But, you know, I find that even walking in 2 hours before usually ends up with me rushing, and I generally get to the gate maybe 10 minutes before the boarding announcements start. And MCO has been highly unpredictable for us. Add to that that they haven't let us into the experienced travelers line with DS (who is more experienced than many people getting into that line) and it often takes longer than we expect.

Definitely look up the official website for the airport, and see what's available.

Depends on the airport and time of day. In the Albany, NY airport security lines are really long early in the morning and almost gone in early to mid afternoon.
