I occassionally go onto the Disney website and try to get a fake price quote for our upcoming stay at Disney, but I can't get a quote for the exact time I want to go because it's too far in the future, so I just pick a 2007 date around the same time of year to see what price it gives me.

Anyway... every time I do this, I always have the hardest time finding a price quote for a stay at the Swan or Dolphin, which is where I really want to stay, and I never understand why. Well, today, I went to the OFFICIAL Swan and Dolphin site, rather than the disney.com site, and tried to get a price quote the same way, and when it was searching for available rooms, it took me to the Sheraton website. So what I want to know is are the Swan and Dolphin actually owned by Sheraton? Is that why it's so hard to get a price on disney.com?

I don't remember who owns the swan and dolphin, but I know it's not Disney owned.

Starwood owns the Swan and Dolphin, not Disney. Very nice hotels and GREAT location, but if you're looking for a *true* WDW resort, those are sadly not it....

You can always get a price quote without obligation for Swan/Dolphin or any WDW resort right here on the DIS through Dreams Unlimited. (little plug here.... ;) )

Okay, that explains it. I wish Disney would have made that more clear on their website, would've made it a lot easier for me during my searching. Thanks for your help! :teeth:

And yes, Starwood is Sheraton (and Westin, and W and Regency and Luxury and a few others I think).
