Si On the 20th I booked a room only reservation to secure a campsite in August 2014 got the AAA discount and saved me over 200 dollars :cool1:,,, well yesterday i called Disney to see if i can add my tickets onto my reservation and she said that i could not do this because its a rooms only reservation:confused3 so confused please help me

Yes, you can add tickets. But it then becomes a package reservation.

You would have to cancel the room only reservation and then rebook a package. So technically no you can't just add tickets to a room only reservation. You have to start all over and also depending on how much money is on the account you may have to put more down. A room only requires a one night deposit. A package requires $200 down. Also be sure to ask if you would loose your AAA discount? Not sure if it works the same way as Disney where there are only a certain number of sites allotted to the discount.

Don't play by Disney's ridiculous rules concerning package reservations. We have started to use Undercover Tourist (aren't they a Dis sponsor?) for all our ticket purchases. Reliable, cheaper than Disney prices, free shipping with all taxes included and great customer service. Keep your room only campsite and order tickets through them.:wave2:

I second the UT suggestion. I have used them twice with no problems whatsoever! If you sign up for the Mousesavers newsletter, you get an even lower price than the direct UT price. Or you can click through Ebates for cash back, either one.

UT is awesome... Disney still gets their money, you alleviate hassles.

We have bought our tickets at the check-in desk, concierge desk, or just called from the room and added them to our room keys. No reason to spend the money in advance. We call that our trip insurance - all we pay in advance is one night's room cost, then just buy tickets when we get there. Easy!

Oh yeah, I just remembered. The reason you couldn't add tickets was most likely because you got a AAA discount on the reservation. I've done that and called to ask about timing to add dining plan and tickets if we wanted to do so and was told we weren't allowed to convert to a package because of the AAA discount on the reservation.

If you have AAA, just go to your local office to buy your tickets. You'll get a discount on them.

Can we still take part in extra magic hours if I purchase them through undercover tourist?

One has nothing to do with the other. Extra Magic Hours are for WDW Resort guests, regardless of what kind of ticket have or where you purchased it.

I second this notion :thumbsup2

I asked the ? about EMH being at the campground while having UCT tickets and I was told you will get a "room" key. I think you need this key card to access some things at the fort that are for registered campers and to put purchases on if you register a credit card. This is what you show to get EMH entrance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I'm expecting to happen :confused3 :)

I always go with a "room" (site) only reservation and buy my tickets seperatly. In the past the none disney sites where never a big enough discount (pretty much just taxes) for me to go that route. But I am not buying a family worth of tickets either, so usually I just order them through disney seperately and setup will call. Then after I checkin and get settled at my site, I head down to the front desk and pick up my tickets. And I am usually heading down there anyway I have always made a cable modem reservation.

When you check in have them add your tickets you already purchased separately to your room key/card so if you loose them they can be replaced!

I rented a campsite, using the AAA discount for 8/2013, I set up an account on line once at disneyworld.disney.go.com and when I received my email confirmation I then added all my family, gave everyone a character icon and then added our park tickets which I purchased from Undecover Tourist thru Mousesavers. I then checked in online and put a credit card on my ressie for our key cards. I didn't have to change anything to a vacation pkg, it was just a campsite.

1) Add your tickets to room key AFTER you arrive.
2) Just go to the cheerful, kind, helpful, friendly, courteous, Concierge Desk. *
3) We do probably 5-10 of these per day.

* We are also trustworthy, brave, clean, reverent, and loyal.

IMO this is the best way to solve your issue. This is how we buy tickets every year.

I was thinking this would be a great idea, but what about when FP+ is in full swing? You'll need your tickets to make your FP+ reservations not? (although who knows when that will happen?)

You sound like you made it to Tenderfoot in Boy Scouts, Scupper. :thumbsup2

PS - and you forgot to add that the Concierge CM's are damn good looking....
