Hi All

Ive just seen this on another board (sorry)

"I did my audition which was good and was told to go through which was exciting as about 10 people in front of me didnt get through so i thought wow, anyhow when i went through to the next room that was another step and this time it was singing in front of the producer before making the stage for the show. I sang about 3 songs and the producer said i had an amazing musical voice BUT they are looking for POP singers rather than broadway musical stars but thank you for taking part

We did go and see the show and it really is amazing how real it looks, however they said that Only Americans can enter after 14th feb, which i think is wrong because Disney should make it that anybody can enter but only americans can win an american idol gold ticket which would be fair and understandable."

I do hope that thius isnt true. why exclude a large proportion of the guests from one of the attractions. im going in july so will have to put this to the test (and no I cant sing).

I suppose it makes sense - the real show is looking for a "pop" star.

The producer said something similar to me and gave me pointers on how to sound more like a pop star - which were (IMHO) kind of silly.

One more thing to remember.

If they have shows during the day, and a good singer auditions but is not in the prelim shows, they will throw them in the final daily show.

To me that is called a ringer, and that is why this attraction will not last very long. Not really fair to the other winners during the day.

I think its not fair. Just because im British, I cannot enter.

Can I claim a proportion of my park entry fee back as i'm being excluded from a certain attraction. hehehehehe.

Actually - I'm guessing they'd still let you participate - you just would have to give up your Dream Ticket to someone else, should you win. But I could be wrong.

I'm not sure, but maybe because it is called 'American' has something to do with it.:rotfl:

Then again, would they let people from the US be part of Canadian Idol?:lmao:

OK, It has American in the title, and Im not an American subject. But im not entering this at a TV studio. I want to enter this at a Theme park as it is an attraction I should be able to enter this with no problems.

The Theme park is open to paying guests, surely as a paying guest I should be allowed to enter and stand a chance of winning. Ive paid my monies, I want to take my chances.

I know i wont win. Not in hells chance is that possible, but im in the park to have fun. Thats why I try to get picked to do all the other silly things like Indian Jones, The backlot tour etc etc etc.

I just think its a bit off to have an attraction that is not open to all. And before you all say that I can go and watch in the audiance, its not the same as making a complete fool of yourself.

You can participate, you can even win. If you do win you must give someone else your dream ticket. :thumbsup2
