Is this true? Adventure Land, Frontierland opens 1 hour after park opens?

You know, I have always done early entry days at MK. We are going in July for the first time ever so we are choosing to do no early or late entry days since the parks are open longer anyways. I want to try to avoid the busiest parks this time since it will be a lot busier than when we go in Nov/Dec.

So the other day I read a post that said Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square and Mickey's Toontown Fair open 1 hour after the park opens. Now I always thought this was on the mornings of the Early entry and not on regular park opening days (when the park opens at 9am).

Is this true??? It will be good to know so I can have a plan and not be headed in the wrong direction wasting time in the morning. Since we are not doing EMH I want to make the most of the time I do have in the mornings.

Thanks in advance,

When the park opens at 9 Adventureland and Frontierland also open at 9. When the park opens at 8 for EMH only parts of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland open and everything else opens at 9.

When the park opens at 9 everything opens at 9 except for Mickey's Toontown which opens at 10 a.m. everyday and the Jungle Cruise which also opens at 10 a.m. When there are extra magic hours in the morning only parts of tomorrow land and fantasy land are open, Adventure land and liberty square will still open at 9.

I don't know the age of your kids, but a strategy that works extremely well for us with teenagers in the summer is to "close the parks down" by hitting them around 11-noon each day. We use the morning time to sleep in, swim, relax, maybe do a load of laundry, and then we're fresh and ready to keep going until midnight! We always have a lunch PS waiting for us about 1pm and then a dinner PS for 7-8pm. The last hour of any park you can really get your rides in. DS and DD have been known to go on ToT a dozen times in a row that last hour  We also go to the final evening parade if there's a choice, and use the first parade as time to get on the attractions. Works for us--thought I'd pass it along. There does have to be a method to July because it is extremely crowded and hot. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I am not completely sure, but I think,in addition to Jungle Cruise,Enchanted Tiki Room:Under New Management,Hall of Presidents and Country Bears also open at 10:00 AM. :)

No, everything opens promptly at park opening time, but you have to remember that often they'll let you in 10 or 15 minutes before park opening time, but the only place you can be is Main Street. The trains to Adventureland and Toontown also start at opening time, so taking the train to Splash Mountain is only effective if they open the gates at opening time and not before.

The extra hour you're thinking of is the EMH, which begins at 8AM. These aren't considered park hours, and only a few attractions are open. The rides not featured in EMH open at park opening time.

I have the times guide from last week at MK.

Park opened at 9 am.
Attractions that opened at 10 am:

Country bear jamboree
Enchanted Tike room
Hall of Presidents
Jungle Cruise
Liberty Square riverboat
Tom sawyer Island

Only exception was that Thursday for some reason the riverboat was not open till 11. I think because Wed night is EMH evening for MK.

We stayed off site this time but back in February when we stayed at OKW I did note that Frontierland and Adventureland were completely closed off until regular park opening on Friday (the EMH morning day for MK).

At OKW during checkin we were given a listing by park of which attractions were open for both morning and evening EMH.

Many more things were open in the evenings.

The listing also gave the locations in each park where you can obtain the EMH bracelets, also helpful info to have.

Thanks everyone!!

That's how I thought it was, but I read a post that sounded like Adventure land opened an hour later even on a regular day.
