Is this Too weird???

I don't do it for germ reasons, I really do it for comfort. It helps me sleep better, I know the first night at a hotel I don't sleep much at all. I am hoping that by bringing some nice sheets and nice blankets with my own pillow and maybe some ambien will help me get good sleep while I am there.

I like to be relaxed and being tired and sleepy does not make me relax.

I'm sure Disney is kept very clean and their hotels are probably cleaner than most. But....they dont wash the comforters between guests.

Where do you get the info. that they dont wash the comforters between guests? We have seen then putting on the washed, and bagged, comforters many times. We have requested new comforters on several occassions due to wear and tear issues and they always arrive at our room in vacuum sealed bags. We dont actually sleep with the comforters, we bring our blankets, but we do sit on the beds during the day.

Does Disney actaully say that they do not apply cleaned comforters beween guests??

We bring fitted sheets and take our own pillow no matter where we are traveling too. I don't think you are weird at all and besides, what would it matter if ANYONE on this list thinks you are? It is your vacation and if bringing your own sheets helps you relax, then by all means, DO IT!

Full sized sheets are 5 bucks at walmart. queen like 7 dollars. I buy them wash em and roll them in my suitcase. then I simply put my sheets on over the ones that are there. i bring a handful of pillowcases. I bring the pillowcases home but leave the sheets. If Mousekeeping wants them they can keep them.

As far as not understanding english. I have left a piece of paper with a circle crossed out kind of a no sign. and they do not do anything with the beds.

I could care less who thinks its weird. I am more comfortable with my kids faces on sheets that are cleaned by me. many people who have allergies do this as well. certain soap powders can be tricky for one of my son's and thats actually how Or why is started doing this.

Last August I brought 2 old comforters simply checked them as baggage in a comforter bag the clear ones. Nothing wrong with them just changed the style here. And left them with a note that I left them on purpose.

Gotta go with the wierd on this one....BUT if it helps you sleep better, and you will be happy, then go for it! Not for me, but whatever works!

Enjoy your trip!

When we stayed at Disney two years ago you had a choice of having our sheets changed every day or you could put a special card on the bed and they would just remake the bed using the same sheets you slept on the night before. This was to help conserve water. We had our sheets changed every other day. They also had that option for the bath towels.

To all of you getting your underware in a bunch because we are saying it is weird --- READ THE TITLE OF THE ORIGINAL POST. THe OP wanted to know if we think it is weird.

What is even more weird is all the germophobes that go to such great lenghts to protect themselves (or their kids) from germs. If you are that paronoid how do you even leave your house? Unless of course you have your hazmat suit :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: (That was pretty funny Micmacmissy)

This is vacation at the Happiest Place On Earth. Go have a great day at the parks (pop a few Tylenol PMs if you need em) and leave the housekeeping to mousekeeping. :goodvibes :goodvibes

If it will help you sleep while you're on vacation, I say go for it!
