Is this too much park hopping?

I'm still in the researching stage of our WDW trip for next May. I'm considering this itinerary because of some of the things I've read but would this be a bit much as far as park hopping? (me, DH and 9 yr old son)

Wed - Arriving, EP in the late afternoon
Thu - MK in the morning, MGM in afternoon
Fri - Mk in the morning, ECOT in the afternoon
Sat - AK in the morning, MGM in the late afternoon
Sun - EPCOT in the morning, pool, DTD in the evening
Mon - EPCOT in the morning, MGM in the afternoon
Tue - MK all day (my 9yr old will probably want to spend more time here)

So this totals 2 MK days, 2 EPCOT days, 1/2-2/3 AK days, and 1 MGM days. Am I crazy?

we always do alot of park hopping on our trips, so I don't think it is too much... Unless you cget burnt out easily

We usually go to the theme park for a few hours in the AM. Then head to the pool for a few hours. Then we'll go back to a theme park to eat dinner and do a bit.

Your schedule looks pretty good to me.

We do a fair amount of park hopping but we have found it is hard to tour MGM in half days. So much timing with all the shows to work around. It also depends a lot on park hours. If the parks close early we hop less. We find it takes a good hour to leave a park and at least 30 minutes to go to one... so on those short days that can be a chunk of time.

Do you plan to rest between parks or go from one to another?

question?

are you staying inside park? if so, won't be a problem at all.
if not, would not recommend even leaving the park

too much trouble

Sounds good to me since we park hop a lot when we are there. But a 9 year might want to spend more time in the pool. When we took children we usually spent some time at the pool or water park everyday.

I don't think it's too much at all. We have been known to do 3 Parks in a day, tho. Not that I necessarily recommend that tho.

It looks really good to me, too. On our trip last Nov/Dec we did about the same amount of hopping and it was much more enjoyable to me to do it that way than the time before when we'd stayed at one park all day.

The only thing in your schedule that I want to comment on is your last day at MK. Looks like that's your only chance for seeing Wishes (and Spectro if it's shown that night) so I wouldn't diddle with that day at all unless you were to start somewhere else and then finish the day at MK. I'd be certain to be at MK when the sun goes down!!!

I think your itinerary is fine. We always park hop everyday. We usually spend the morning at one park and then go to another park in the afternoon. And sometimes we'll even hop over to somewhere else at night to see whatever nighttime show they have. We don't schedule breaks, we just decide in the morning if we want to go home and take a pool break before going to another park in the afternoon.
