Is this too much in one day for FW?

During the one "rest" day I have planned I thought we would stay near FW.

Do you guys think this is too much for one day? Breakfast at Trails End, pool, drive golf cart around, Lunch at Whispering Canyon (never been to WL) check WL out, relax, go to HDDR and maybe the Campfire Singalong or Singalong and then last HDDR show?

Is the walk long from FW to WL?

Thanks for your input :)

Sounds like a great day to me. The walk to the WL is 20 to 30 minutes depending on how fast you walk.

Sounds fun, but also expensive!

And you're probably going to need to have your stomachs pumped at least once, maybe twice. That's a lot of food! Maybe if you just got drinks and appetizers/desserts at Whispering Canyon, but otherwise, but that's got potential for three *really* big meals in one day.

Have fun at the Fort! :goodvibes

Sounds good to me. You will enjoy WCC and the WL. It's about a mile walk through a nice paved path if you choose to walk. You can also hop on a bus behind the Settlement area and take a bus to WL. There is a bus than runs back and forth between the two. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for it. Or you can take a boat from the Marina. It may take a little longer if you have to wait for one...but it's a nice way to get there. :)

Sounds like a great day to me. If you are going to HDDR book asap. Or hope for a cancelation as they book up fast.

The restaurants are all great, but that is way too much food for one day. Personally I would do one, maybe two, but no more than that.

It sounds like a fun day except for all the meals. I would suggest saving one for a different day.

Sounds good but I do have to agree that it's to much food for one day....trust me I'm a plus size gal and can do some eating but if it were me I might would skip breakfast at Trails End, you'll be over there again for supper so why bother( they share the same kitchen ) and eat breakfast at WL and then HDDR for supper, you should be ready for a good meal by then....and won't waste an all you can eat meal.

You can walk to WL (about a mile) on the exercise trail or you can take the boat ride from the FW dock (check the pier for the latest routings). WL is nice to see but won't take a long time. They give give guided tours of the resort some days (may be free?) and you can call the WL for more info.

You've also got time for a nap and a swim. Also, attached to the WL is the Villas at WL (the DVC timeshare portion) attached to the WL via a covered walkway near the bus stops. You can walk in the lobby of the Villas and turn to the right to enjoy the Golden Spike Room (?). I am a big fans of trains and railroads and Walt Disney also had a passion for trains (even the Fort had a train in its early years). Just some pictures and static displays but it's a nice quiet, a/c place to sit and relax.

You probably can work the HDDR and then the singalong/campfiire if the singalong is during summer when it starts later (the Fort moves the start time to try to coincide with dusk so the movie can start in the dark). Check start times but it's doable.

That sounds like a doable full day and you can always either drive or take the bus to WL for WC.

I guess you guys are right about it being too much food. I am just excited and want to try everything. :hyper: Maybe I will do an early lunch at WL ( I want to try the skillet). I will move Trails End to another day. Hows that sound?
