Okay I'm at the parks on 17 & 18 Dec. I'd like to do the following, please offer suggestions on how I can do this, or if it's even possible:

Fireworks
Christmas Parade
Electrical Parade
Fantasmic

I have lunch set for Carnation Cafe on 17 Dec and dinner on 18 Dec at Cafe Orleans. Other than these things I'm just going to go with the day and utilize FP and go to Fantasyland on the day where there is no MM.

I'm just worried about the timing. Any help would be appreciated.

What time is your PS for dinner at Cafe Orleans? Do you mind watching the fireworks from a spot other than right in front of the castle? Are you okay with watching the second showing of Fantasmic?

I would do it this way:

December 17th
Holiday Parade at 5:30
Fireworks at 9:25 (because you never know when they might be cancelled and this will give you another chance if they are cancelled Friday, but if you wait until Saturday and they are cancelled, you'll be out of luck.)

December 18th
Electric Parade at 8:45
Fantasmic at at 10:30

My PS for Cafe Orleans is early.

The only thing I'm worried about is getting a seat (not necessarily a good one) for Fantasmic after the Electrical Parade.

Steph, I would normally advise you on where to sit for the DEP, but since DCA is a complete wreck, I have no idea how they will run the parade route this year or if they will even start it down at the Pier area as usual.

If you can, I would recommend after the DEP trying to catch the DLRR over to NOS. That way you can avoid the Fireworks mess on Main Street and have a back way in to snag your F! spot.

(was that enuf abbreviations for ya??) ;)

Thanks for the tip about taking DLRR to NOS.

Very true about the route of the parade. That will be the first night of it too. I need to get a DCA map early so I know where exactly to go. I'm thinking if I go to the start of the parade I should be able to get out of DCA rather quickly to get back to DL for Fantasmic.

It used to actually be possible for an agile group of adults to do the Electrical Parade, Fireworks, and Fantasmic all in the same night. I don't know if it's possible now, with construction.

I wouldn't recommend trying for all 3, but depending on the view you want/need for Fantasmic, you may be able to make it from Fireworks to the second Fantasmic show. (I did this in June and we got off-center seats against the fence at Fantasmic. It was a standing area but I think it was actually closer to the floats and the steamboat; at least, it felt that way. In many ways I liked that spot BETTER than being front and center! It was a bit uncomfortable getting from the fireworks to Fantasmic, though, complete with guests mooing.)

If you don't do it on fireworks day, then just figure to get to Fantasmic a few minutes before the end of the show, as alluded to earlier, and you can get excellent seats by edging forward before and after the fireworks.

Have a great time!

If you are doing it solo, you should have no problems doing the Electrical Parade and Fantasmic on the same night. Plus, Ive walked with you....you hussle and walk with purpose when needed. :goodvibes

Main Street has been so crowded in the evening, although it might be better on the 17th since that is a Thursday night.

Would doing the parade (it was at 6:30 this past weekend, though it might be at 5:30 when you go), the fireworks, and Fantasmic be too much for one night? Or is there just one showing of Fantasmic when you go? I would try for that so that you don't rush after the Electrical Parade at DCA.

You're going to like it, I think. It's so beautiful right now.
