I've been waiting to book next August's trip until the new rates come out.

But I just read somewhere that if you book BEFORE the new rates come out, you'll get the old rates. Is that correct?

I can't assume that rates will go down, so it makes more sense to book ASAP, right?

Can someone let me know?

You will not get the old rate. You will be quoted a price based on the old rate and then that rate will be adjusted when the 2008 rates are announced. If you have a booking that begins on Dec. 31st, 2007 then you will receive the "old" rate for that booking since it will technically be a booking for 2007.

Keep in mind if a lower rate (like a AP rate) becomes available you can always change your reservations to include the lower rate.
