Is this really a great deal?

I got my first code today, in "snail mail". The kids 3-9 stay free one. Is it really a great deal?

We were just there in November, but would love another trip! If someone can say "yeah, it's a great deal. Jump on it". Maybe I can convince DH it's some wonderful special thing Disney is offering us and we should use it. :rotfl::rotfl:

We always stay off-site, so I don't pay attention to codes at all. Are there usually better/comparable codes out there, or is this one super?

I guess what is included is the question, kids always stay in the Disney owned hotels free. Is it just tickets? If food is involved, usually all in the room have to be on the same plan so that might mean purchasing for adults.

I thought the Free dining in a Value or the $500 free gift card we will receive is better for Values. The buy 4 get 7 was great for higher end resorts in my opinion. We are paying 85 for 6 nights 2 one day passes and getting back a $500 gift card next week. so for basically $225 we will stay at WDW for a week. We will have 500 for food which is more than enough. We also will receive 20% off on all TS and the food court at ASMu since we are AP holders and have the Tables in Wonderland card. The one day passes will be kept for future use. To us this was almost a better deal than free dining since we can pick and choose what we want not be forced to a dessert but can share, plus alcohol is included in the 20% off. This was a pin code so not available to all but a good deal.

It does seem like a good deal to me. I am currently evaluating the savings with using this PIN and going this summer vs. our only other option, which is next March. I estimate we would save about $1000 using this plan vs. paying full price for the kids next March (unless they do another good promotion like the 4/3 they did this year). I just posted a new thread about this as well. I would really prefer to go next March, but looking at the historical promotion charts on Mousesavers, it doesn't look like there have traditionally been great promotions during that time (with the exception of this year). The Swan and Dolphin don't even have their government rate available for March 2010, which we have used in the past, for next March (at least they're not offering it right now).

Considering that this is only the 2nd PIN-type offer I've ever received, and that many of the general-public promotions have been for dates we are not able to go, we're going to have to really give this some thought. Let us know what you decide to do!

it would have been a great deal for us in the past but now 2 of our 3 kids are over age 9 so we went for a different deal.

we got a pin code for kids up to age 17 to Cruise free that one was tempting but we had already booked our September trip so decided to stick with that that and I fear getting really seasick :rotfl:
