If we land at MCO at 345 pm and take ME to CBR, check in, drop our things off in the room, get a bus over to DTD could we be there by 7 pm?

We have an important event to be to at 7 pm and I am wondering if taking a cab from CBR might be necassary to make it by 7 pm? Or using disney transportation, do you think this is doable?

Doable, maybe. The cab from CBR to DTD could save you significant time, if you were running behind schedule. Taking WDW transpo (bus) from CBR could be as quick as 16-20 minutes, or be closer to 45-50. A cab would have you there in under 10.

Landing at 3:45 means landing, not off the plane. So, figure on about 70 mins average time from gate to resort....you should be at CBR by 5-5:15. Get to room and back to the DTD bus, about 5:45. I would add another 15 mins just for safety's sake.
You should be able to be at DTD by 7. But, you may have a longish walk to wherever it is you want to be from the Marketplace bus stop.
If it gets to be 5:45-6 and you aren't headed to DTD, you may want to just take a cab.

yes it's possible, but like others said, if things get held up along the way, jsut take a cab. ME can sometimes take 2 hours or more form when you land. Sometimes you can walking in your resort room 1 hour after landing.

How does rush hour traffic figure into this equation? getting out of the airport at 4:15 at best and later with any hiccup and aren't you smack dab into rush hour? won't that add time to the trips?

If it is very important you be in DTD and wherever you have to be by 7 I would keep the option to go straight there in the back of my mind.

We rent a car and always take 417 South from the airport and there is never any significant traffic. We've arrived at all times of day and night and it's always the same, traffic-wise. I see a lot of ME buses on this road, so if ME always uses this route, I don't think there will be any rush hour traffic to contend with.
