IS this possible-switch current reservation to bounceback?

Ok so I gave up on getting a pin, after registering 4 different emails on the site and doing the itinerary and saved trip tricks, nothing, and it's been months and weeks and days, lol!
So I booked full rate, room only, for a couple resorts end of Nov/early Dec. I am an AP holder and know rates will come out later in the year, BUT
here is my question:
I go to Disney mid August, IF a bounceback is offered, can I switch my current reservations to the bounceback offers or do I have to cancel that reservation and make a new one with the bounceback offer?

I did something similar last year. I cancelled the first reservation after I booked the bounceback.

Thanks, I'm wondering though if I can apply my deposit for my current reservation to the bounceback reservation when it is made, because I would be cancelling my original and then applying the deposit to the bounceback. They apply money that way when you cancel at one resort and decide to book at another resort. So I figured I could do that....guess I will wait and see in August..thanks for your reply!

I cancelled a package reservation a week ago and asked to have my $200 depposit applied to another package. They said they couldn't do it. So, I got a refund on my CC and was charged another $200. Not really a problem unless someone is close to their limit on their CC as the refund doesn't show up until after the charge for the new reservation.

Larry- I ordered that DVD about 4 times.....I give up,lol...I read that mid August the bounceback offer is out and that's when we are going so I will just wait. Im sure it will all work out.

I have done the cancel/rebook game a few times and the credit always comes through faster than they say it will (I think they say something frightening like 6-8 weeks).
