Is this possible? One on Dining, one on Deluxe?

Howdy gang!

My girlfriend and I are going in September, and we've both got free dining from my bounceback reservation. Is it possible to upgrade one of us (being on the same reservation staying in the same room) to the Deluxe plan, and leave the other person on the regular one? That way, hypothetically, we could both share the various table service and counter service credits in the best mix without paying for an upgrade for two people for six days.

Would that work?

All dining plans for the room must be the same. So, your stuck either with basic for everyone or upgrade to deluxe for all.
