Is this plausible?

We'll be arriving at Disney on the 20th of August at almost 8 in the evening. We tried to take advantage of the free dining but being that it doesn't start until the next day we can't. We thought, since we hadn't planned on going to any parks the night we arrive and just hanging out at the hotel, we could book a room only reservation for the 20th then have the package start the next day. Now my question is: is it possible to do this at the same resort? We'd check into one room on the 20th and check out the next morning and check right back in in order to get our tickets. It sounds impossible in my mind but this is Disney so I'm hoping anything is possible. TIA

People do that all the time when/if their days overlap from one price "season" to the next. For example, if the value season kicks in a day or two into their stay, they will book 2 separate reservations to take advantage of the lower rate for the last days.

Yes this can be done. Make sure that you have them note a continuing reservation. If you are lucky you will not have to pack up and change rooms. Keep in mind that this could happen. When you check in also remind them that you have another reservation that begins the next day.

It is possible! I have not done this myself, but I know of many who have. Chances are, if you can manage to book the same type of room at the same hotel that you will not even have to switch rooms. Just explain your situation when you check in and see what they can do for you. Good luck!

we've done this several times and it has always gone very smooth. They let us know at check in that the room was available for both stays so we would not need to move. They didn't require we check out by 11 am, we just needed to do paperwork sometime that day. We just waited till we didn't see a line but of course with free dining I'd want to check in ASAP to start using my free food! :teeth:

Thank you so much! This really puts my mind at ease about the whole situation.
