Is this phone call legit?

I just received a phone call but didn't answer. The person calling left a message that said they have very important info about my membership, and they left the callback number 866-364-5228. Caller ID: 407-217-2476

I don't recognize either of those as being any valid DVC number that I've ever used. Is this legit or a scam?

I don't know one way or another but a reverse look up of the 407 number comes back to a land line in Windimere, FL (sp?)

I would call the main member services number or your agent and ask them if someone placed a call to you.

caller ID read 407-827-4744. When I answered the caller identified himself by name ( don't recall name at moment ) and said he was a representative from DVC Quality Assurance and would I be willing to answer a few questions regarding my experiences, satisfaction, etc. I said sure and was asked some questions about satisfaction when calling MS for reservations, opinions on member's website. At some point during our conversation he mentioned our guide by name. I did state that we've called and are still awaiting paperwork on OKW extension to 2057 and that it is of concern to us. Was told this was being "noted" and we should shortly receive it.

5 forDiz, your call was legitimate, 407-827 is a Disney area exchange, and they had the name of your guide.

Sheriff Woody's call may be from his guide, but my guess it is from a timeshare reseller soliciting business.

From my experience, if you get a call from QA and tell them you have an issue, that issue gets resolved quickly.

It did for me with the '09 planner.

I called MS twice about it and nothing. I talked to the QA guy and had it within a week.

as I was going along answering his questions that perhaps it was not a legit call although I was never asked for any personal info, had he done that I would have immediately ended call. And the caller was the one who mentioned our guide by name so I thought this really must be DVC or this scammer is slicker than most !

Hope too, my experience turns out like kapeman's and that QA comes through on resolving issue I brought up.

I also got a call - can't remember when for sure - about a week ago, asking of we received our cards and planner - we did recieve cards - no planner but I tol dhim shorty after closing our DVC resale (closed Jan23) we had a house fire (Feb 3) and things have been crazy with mail. He was very polite and noted that a new planner would arrive in Oct 08. I guess I should be more careful who I talk to, but the caller ID said Disney Vacation.
