Is this old news? Free Dining Package thru 12/20

I just sent a request for a DVD and I got a pin code. I can't use it but I'm hoping I'll get one for August!!

Don't give up, we just got the free dining code today. Can't use it, we are going NJ week. It was sent to my e-mail with Dad's (my maiden) name. We usually bring him with us, and the code before this came in his name to. When I called last time to try and correct it they said that we had it in our name to, anyone in the original reservation could use it. Hope when we get a pin we can use that it works out that way. Good luck!

Wow that deal seems unreal! Why do I only get offers for DL? :confused3

Do these PIN offers come from Disney Destinations?

I was so excited for a minute!

I just checked my e-mail and there was a message from Disney Destinations! I was so excited because I thought I would be offered free dining for our December trip. I just read every word of it, and can't find anything about free dining. It offered a package at a Value or a Villa, but not free dining. Boo hoo, I am so bummed!

I just posted this somewhere else, but thought I would add it here...in case anyone was interested.

Well, here are some prices for you.

The RACK RATE, on a 9 night stay at Pop Century. 2 Adults and 2 Kids (5 and 8) Dates December 20-29th, with 1 Day Base ticket and NO dining is..............
$1629.38

The Fall Discount for this exact same package is.................
$1256.48

My Exact Pin Code FREE Dining Package is..........
$1352.58

As you can see, the Pin Code is not only Free Dining, but also a room discount!

Oh and just for the fun of it, the Rack Rate for the exact package I am paying $1352.58 for is $2493.02!! I am saving $1140.44! 9 nights of Dining for my family of 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 8) is only worth $863.64. So the room discount looks to be $276.80 or $30.76 per night.

I got the pin code for free dining with the original dates of sept and early oct. I did not get the new email with the dates in Nov and Dec. So, since
I have the code for the first email, would they extend the nov and dec dates with my code?

Jennifer, I believe the answer is no on that. You can always call and try though.

My last name actually starts with a "K" so if I'm getting one, it should be soon! :rolleyes1

I really hate to disappoint you guys...but my last name starts with S and I got mine Monday afternoon :( I really hope they're still sending them out for everyone's sake!

Thanks
Ill call and ask tomorrow - if not then we will pass on this offer for a quick trip and wait until next Sept (we just got back 3 weeks ago).

I have an annual pass, so this isn't something I would book. But early November is such a great time to go!
We have annual passes too but we just came home from a Free Dining trip. The trick is to book with a 1-day 1-park pass for each person. Your pass will be on your KTTW. All you have to do is save it and then apply the value of the single day to your AP renewal. We always renew at WDW and we have never had a problem applying our 1-day passes from Free Dining to our APs.

When you apply your one day ticket do you still get the $40 off for renewing your AP?

We will have a one day ticket from free dining and will be at WDW when our AP expires, I didn't know if you would get the $40 off also.

Yes. BUT I don't think you can apply the value online or over the phone. I have done it multiple times in person and not only got the renewal discount but also my DVC discount.

You do have to do this in person, as they have to swip your old pass to see the value of it. Our last two sets of APs...with DVC discount, were gotten with old one day passes we got when getting a Free Dining Package.

I will once again have another set after this December trip, to apply towards our next APs.

When I factor in their value, I am paying less than $1100 for a 9 day trip.

Oh, also wanted to add, that the one day passes can only be upgraded to APs. We tried to use an old one to upgrade to a 6 day hopper and it isn't allowed....has to be APs.

I hope they didn't recently change the rules!

I was able to upgrade a one day ticket to a 10 day hopper in April with no problems at all.

I got the PIN too and wouldn't you know I couldn't use it. :sad2: We have ressies for Dec. 7 - 14...right smack dab in between the effective dates.
