DD10 will be a Disney adult on our next trip, but eats like a Disney kid. Most of our TS meals will be buffet, so those won't matter...but if we do a TS or CS that is not buffet/family style, 1) can we pay OOP for a kid's meal and 2) save the adult credit for a different meal? We were going to pay OOP for a couple of TS meals and all CS breakfasts. If we have say one adult credit left over, can we use that for one person, then pay for everyone else at that meal OOP? I'm not planning for this to happen, but DD just started meds that have decreased appetite as a side effect, and already doesn't finish a kid's meal.

As vicki_c said, yes, you can pay OOP for a meal and save the dining credit to be used later. Just let the server know who is using credits and who is not at the start of the meal they'll divide the check up appropriately. My family has done this several times.
