Is this lady over-reacting?

I think I would have taken that box of wings to everyone I know and offer them one, but I'm mean like that. :rotfl:

It's a case of someone looking to get rich quick. She had chicken in her box of chicken. Yeah it's gross, but I chalk it up to being a mistake at the vendor that boxed the frozen chicken.

Now, if there was a human finger or something in there, I would have a different reaction.

That's what you get for eating meat!! Haha sorry, I'm a vegetarian and I totally had to go there. Maybe now she will be scared to eat chicken again!!

personally i never expect or demand anything out of reason.

if we ask for a non smoking room and get smoking we asked to be moved - we don't demand an upgrade or money off.

if an item is missing from a drive through order if it's a $1 cheeseburger we forget about it - my time and gas to go back and get it is more then a buck

if we order thin crust and get regular i call and let them know but don't accept when they say they'll send out a new one because we already have this one and we're not eating 2 and they never take back the wrong one (besides that's just wasteful)

having a head of a chicken in my wings would freak me out but at least it was cooked - i wouldn't eat the wings though and at least it wasn't a finger - human

Oh, I couldn't help but laugh...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Especially at the image I got of her opening the bucket of chicken, and seeing that chicken head staring accusingly up at her from a pile of wings...

Oh, here we go again... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

(She sat and ate a pound of wings? That sounds like a LOT of chicken... is it?)

:lmao:

I would be more concerned that they breaded the chicken wings.:scared1:

A manager “kind of shook his head,” reimbursed her for the wings, then told her to call Sysco, their supplier, she said.

Personally I would like to know how the eyes which are totally liquid survived being processed, deep frozen, breaded and deep fried and were still able to be staring up at her when she opened the box. Notice how she threw away the wings that where with it and only brought the head?

I'd have kicked the woman out of my restaurant and told her to never come back. After all, the odds are that she is lying about the entire thing and trying to shake down the restaurant.

I'm as cynical as the people I've quoted, manager included. I'm not buying that the bar has sold x hundreds or thousands of wings (or pounds of wings), yet an order the customer took to-go suddenly had an unexpected chicken part in it. I'm thinking scam.

My mom and grandmother recently found a tooth in H-E-B brand (big supermarket chain in TX) ice cream. They told me they just threw it away! :scared1: I would have gone to complain. I ate some of that ice cream!!

How would you react if you found a chicken head in your box of wings? And what would you expect by way of compensation?

How could the restaurant have handled this issue better?

And does anyone else think there's something kinda awesome about getting a surprise chicken head in with your wings? I mean, obviously the cooks just dump huge batches of chicken bits in the deep fryer without looking (which doesn't make this a particularly great restaurant), but that aside - it's a chicken head! I'd want to pick it up and make it start talking to people...

I would not look for any compensation - however, I think it would be a loooooong time before I could order a box of chicken wings again!

And NOBODY at the resaturant noticed it while cooking the dang thing?

I'd be grossed out too, and expect my meal to be refunded completely (including the one I'd eaten earlier) and maybe throw in a gift card if I ever intended to come back to the place.

This is my problem. It seems like the employees weren't paying attention. Someone had to handle it several times to get it to her and NO ONE noticed it was a head?

I would have laughed, taken a picture, posted it on Facebook and went on with my day.

I probably wouldn't be going back to the bar anytime soon but I wouldn't freak out over something like that.
