We are planning our WDW vacation for 9/19-9/29. We have booked(rented points for)BWV for 9/25-9/29 and were planning on doing ASmo or a moderate for 9/19-9/24. Now we are thinking of renting points for BCV or OKW but Im not thrilled about paying the higher points for friday and saturday. Im thinking of staying at a value for the weekend(AAA rate of about $69.00 per versus $220.00 per night based on $10.00 per point saves $300.00) so the trip would be as follows:4 nights @BCV or OKW+2 nights @ASmo+5 nights @BWV. Are only non WDW day is Sea World so we would do this on saturday while we were @ASmo(Ive heard less than great reviews of bus transportation from the all-stars so we would avoid that as wee will be driving to Sea World. Has anyone done 3 resorts over 11 days and did it seem like to much moving. Last year we did VWL and CBR and Disney moved our bags between resorts after checking out of VWL and we spent the day @ MGM and they were at check-in that night. It will be myself DW,DS5,DD3,DD9 months. Thanks for any opinions.

We just did 2nights AKL, 2nightsPOly and then Suntill Fri at the bwv. I wont pay the high prices for the weekend. There was a real bailout on Fri.

When we go, we go for at least 10 nights and two weekends. We stay at BWV the entire time. DH won't consider moving under any circumstances. Too much trouble. However, because weekends cost so many DVC points, we just book through CRO, which is the same rate every night. We figure by the time we rent points, rent tons of additional points to cover the two weekends, add in the extra $40 or so per day cost for daily maid service (a must!), and lose the ability to cancel within 5 days (given the complicated situation if we rented points and then had to cancel), it's not so bad just to go through CRO and be done with it.

We are DVC'ers but never spend the weekend at DVC...wish we had the points to stay over the weekend, but we never do....is it more trouble? Yes, but if you have a budget that can't afford the weekends then it can be done.

I guess you just have to decide if it is worth the extra $$. You could probably save enough points by staying at OKW instead of BCV to make up most of the difference for the weekend.... it would be worth some $$ not to have to move 3 times...you might even look into getting a standard view at BWV and save enough points to stay there the whole time.

Now that our kids are older moving isn't too bad (everyone packs themselves, can tote stuff in and out and not having a mid day break on moving day is no big deal), but with your little ones I bet your DW would really love to stay put, since I assume most of the hassle of moving would fall to her and losing the mid-day break for the baby and toddler might be difficult as well.

Here is another suggestion...you might do a studio at OKW or standard view studio at BW for the first block including weekend and then move to your 1BR...studios are still larger than the values and moderates and you would only have to move 1 time and it would be to your bigger unit.

I wouldn't move 3 times in 10 days with 3 small children. Given the ages of your kids, perhaps you should consider staying in one place for the whole 10 days. SSR is probably your best bet at 128 points for all 10 days, or $1280. That comes out to the same as $115 per night plus taxes. OKW will save you some money at 104 points, or $1040. That comes out to the same as $92 plus taxes. However, SSR has a zero entry pool which will be better for your kids.

If you want to split your stay, it's only 4 points more to stay at SSR for 9/19-9/24 and then move to BCV on 9/25 that to stay at SSR the whole time.

Good luck! I hate using my weekend points :).

I use my points so I don't have to move around. 5 nights is just not enough.
