Hi

Just read the post about advance notice for Free Dining. I already made all my ADR's for the week of 9/20-9/28 thinking free dining would be through end of September. Now it looks as though offer ends on 9/20. Should I make myself crazy and spend all day today making new ADR's? I know the right thing to do is cancel the ones I have for 9/20-9/28 and book for week of 9/13- 9/21 but what is the buzz is wrong?

I got all the places and times I wanted, what should I do? I am also not a Disney Visa holder so will have to wait until the 10th to call.

Help, what should I do?

I know what you mean, but I would wait till the official announcement. What I am doing is making a ton of ADRs April 7th on Visa announcement date, when I know my dates will be including (I am having the opposite problem, I am going August 24-30, some rumors say we are ok, some rumors say we aren't!) I don't want to have a bunch of ADRs I won't use if there ISN'T free dining, but on the other hand, I don't want to be screwed, either. Then, I will hopefully get the POR on public free dining day.

I would not do a thing until dates and terms of the promotion are absolutely confirmed. In the past with the free dining offer, we checked in on the last day of the promotion and were allowed to have it throughout our whole stay through the first week of October. This time we have the free dining bounceback offer and are again arriving a couple days shy of the end of the promotion and again are allowed to have the free dining into October. So, i would be patient and hang tight and see what the Visa holders get on Monday.

We are going 9/19-9/27, so we are in the same boat as you. Lets hope that it will be check on date and we should be ok.
Unfortunately, our vacation is not flexable. My husband as to put in for his request and once it is approved it is set in stone

We are in the same boat as you. 9/18 - 9/28. I thought that would be a safe week to book compared to the last few times FD was offered AND The bounceback dates. I actually have to say I am really suprised at the dates.....MANY schools start after labor day. I am suprised the last week in August is harder for Disney to book than the 3rd week in September. We can not switch our dates, we booked roundtrip airfare already as we got a rate we couldn't turn down.

This relates to two threads... me personally I believe you'll be able to get free dining beyond the cutoff date. (Just an assumption)

That also leads me in to why they ended as early as they did. By ending on the 27, people won't be able to extend too far into the food and wine festival. I'm betting Disney doesn't want free dining and food and wine going on at the same time.

I think this is right. I booked bounceback for free dining on 9/19 to 9/28, and F&W starts on 9/26. I bet if the cut-off is 9/20 you will be able to extend.

For your sake....I hope you will be able to extend! We booked FD bounceback last Sept. and tried to extend past those dates into a few days in Oct. and on three occasions the CMs said "No", due to WDWs new policy.
I will be happy for you if you can extend and get FD dining.....but will be pissed at WDW for not allowing me to do so.

PS....my inlaws will be visiting us at WDW for three nights, 9-23 to 9-26, and it looks like they may be out of luck for free dining, shucks!!

I have thought this same thing, it makes sense. Let's hope we are right, I want to go Sept 20-27!!

Hmmm...you might need to be mad already. I have seen several people post about being to extend their dates. Some, have not, but others have.

I was able to book Bounceback 9/27/08-10/11/08 with free Dining for the entire stay.
