Is this how might booking a reservation for 2019 would work?

I won't be getting any more points until 2019, September 1, 2019, with my current contract. (unless of course I add on a few more points through another contract that is) Anyway, if I wanted to book a reservation for December 9-13th, 2019 my date for booking 11 months out is January 9, 2019 and for booking 7 months out, it is May 9, 2019. I will be using my 2019 points and if I wanted to borrow my 2020 points, to book more nights with the reservation, could I do that?

Points can only be banked during the first 8 months of your UY. Your UY is not a calendar year. Points need to be available during the dates of your stay, not when you make the reservation. Banking moves points one UY forward, borrowing moves points one UY back. Banking and borrowing are final transactions and can not be reversed.

Don’t forget the advise someone gave me on these boards. Is that you can still rent up to 24 points a year from Disney at the 7 month mark for $15 a point I believe. It helped me maneuver things a time or two.

Its $17 a point, I did that this year.
