I don't think the negative comments end when a new resort opens either, but you hear them louder when a resort is being actively sold because people here encourage "buy where you want to stay." So if you come here saying "should I buy AKL, oh what should I do?" Someone will come on with their opinion (and they have every right to it) of "I think the decor is ugly, its in the middle of nowhere, dues are high and the animals do nothing for me." The OP may not care about any of these things, they might love the decor and animals, like the location, and not care about the dues" or - and this is me believing people are not intending to "bash" but instead be "helpful" the OP might say "you know, those rooms are really not to my taste, I've never liked AKL, and we want to use SAB all the time, maybe this resale thing is a good idea." But whatever the OPs reaction, an VAK owner will have to come in and tell the person that posted their negative opinion that "the animals are wonderful and you obviously have no appreciation for the beauty and majesty of nature." Now, the first is an opinion about a resort, the second is an attack on a person - and then things get nasty.
People still say BWV hallways are too long or its too noisy. People still make complaints about room conditions at BCV or BWV. People still find OKW to be too quiet or too far from anything, people still think VWL has decor too dark.
