Is this going to work for AP?

I have 7 day base ticket right now. Hoping that I can go directly to guest services on our arrival day at MK and upgrade my ticket to an AP. What do I need to have with me to do so? Do I need my license and credit card, or just my Magic Band with CC linked to it? Anything else to consider?

Use it to enter the park first. That way the price can be "bridged" and you will be paying the difference between a current (on that day) 7 day ticket price and the current price of the AP.

You will need your ID (will also need it for any discounts).

I know when I upgraded I actually used my CC (instead if magic band) but I don't remember if I had to or just did for some reason.

yes you do need your ID there are a few different AP ( and more if you are a FL resident) so look at them and see AP you want before going into GS. and then you will get the AP discount so ask for them when you buy things as most CM will not ask you and welcome to the world of an AP where you go I could go to disney today for free why not go, unless you live too fair away

Also know the price (the difference between what you have and what you're getting), at least roughly. I've upgraded twice (once from regular tickets to AP and then again from old AP to the new AP) and have had no issues, but do know that people have had issues in the past. It seems like theres no easy way to do the transaction, they kind of have to move from one system to another (not that it's hard or anything, but it's not just clicking a button or something) so it's easy for things to be messed up unintentionally.
