My DH is leaving on May 9th for a work-related overseas trip and I suggested to my daughter "how about a trip to the beach and you can bring a friend" )she is 20, soon to be 21) She told me "I don't think I could be with any friends for that long" LOL It is near the end of the semester and she and roommates/friends are having enough of each other. I asked her about another friend that she really gets along with, but she has a boyfriend, and probably won't want to be away from him.:confused3

Daughter was here over the week-end and told her she needed to make up her mind......time is getting near. She suggested to me a while ago while we were talking on the phone...."How about Disney World?"

What do you all think?? Is it possible to plan a trip for me and daughter in so little time??? I checked on the web-site and selected Port Orleans FQ and it gave me a price. So, there is a possibility. I'll check with AAA tomorrow.....

TIA:banana:

If you can't get what you want on property, you can always stay off.

I am assuming that this is a good time of year to plan a trip last minute since it's in between busy seasons. Most kids are in school and spring breaks are over so it shouldn't be busy.

Enjoy your trip. :)

If she's cute Id say go for it. If not, do something else:]

PS I can meet her up at Disney if you want

yes, it is highly doable... this is a less crowded time of year. the only thing that could get wonky is flights.

Definately doable. DH and I "planned" our first trip to the World with 9 days notice in the end of July so I'd bet May would be even easier :thumbsup2

It is definitely doable - it just depends on what kind of things/experiences you're looking for. Even though it's a moderatly less crowded time of year, you might not be able to eat at the places you'd like to (ts restaurants) since ADR's go quickly, but you might be happily surprised too.

Otherwise, sure, why not? I've done a quick turnaround decision like this a few years back and ended up with a very nice trip with only about a week's notice.

You should have absolutely no trouble getting the resort or restaurants you want right now. I did last year for the second weekend of June, so this time is definitely better.
