Hi, I'm going with my DBF, and my 3 DD, staying for 8 days...shipping breakfast foods and snacks ahead of time...bringing Brita water bottles...is a 800 dollar room credit and 400 dollars in cash going to be enough?? We only plan on eating at 2 or 3 character meals and counter service for most lunches, if not, we will eat a late lunch... I appreciate all input...
Pixie Dust to you,

Im not sure but I do believe I would take more than that. By the time you eat, buy souviners, buy gas, etc. 400.00 doesnt go very far. But you may be a better budgeter than I am, I dont know. You did say 400.00 for 8 days right?

No, $800 room credit...and $400 in cash..so together 1200 dollars....and we're not driving a car at all down there...we're on vacation LOL!

I just went in the end of March. We budgeted at least $100 for every day we were there. My Dh, Ds, Dd,myself. A few days we went over that a little but we ate breakfast in our room, and strictly ate counter service for lunch and usually went off property for dinner. You can check out each parks/resorts menu and prices at www.allearsnet.com, maybe that can help you figure out if the $1200 is enough for what you guys are planning to do. I know that counter service lunches for us were at least $30.00 to $35.00, the cheapest lunch was about $29.00, hope this helped you some .

That should be more than enough unless you are planning on very expensive dining and buying very expensive souveners.

I'm assuming 100/character meal for your family (don't know ages of DDs, or if you will do B,L, or D). If you do 3 that's 300. If you eat counter breakfast & lunch each day, that's 13 meals at about 38 each = 494. If all breakfasts are in your room, there's no additional for that. So, not including snacks or refillable mugs, you're looking at about 794. for meals, 405. for snacks and souveniers. Is 405. enough souvenier $ for the 5 of you? You might want to think of sharing meals if you have younger kids, that would cut your budget some.

Thanks everyone my DBF, and DD 3, will more than likely have enough $!! I dont know why, but I really find this planning fun yet stressful...almost a gluton for punishment.

My calculations were all based on 3 kids. Sorry if I gave you 2 extra!

It really depends on how you spend your money. I could make 1200 go a long way personally. We usually have our biggest meal be lunch, eat a snack-like breakfast in room, and snacks later for dinner. Curb the souvenirs until the last day or two. You should
