IS this doable?

On arrival Day we land in Orlando at 1:20 pm. We are using Magical Express to get to SSR. I was wondering if we are safe with a dinner reservation at the Plaza at MK for 5:30 pm? I think that is enough time but wanted some expert opinions.
Thanks

That should be just enough time :) Just keep in mind that you will likely have to leave to MKP as soon as you arrive at SSR, the nice thing though is that the WDW bus will drop you off right at the MKP entrance. Have fun!

It should be... unless there's some unusual hang up with transportation. You might be cutting it a little close, but it should go smoothly all the same. I haven't been during the new security measures, but I don't think they are typically making the wait to get in that much longer than normal.
*adding: You can now update your ADR within 20 minutes of your set time on the Walt Disney World website. So, if you think you aren't going to make it, you can look to reschedule it w/out penalty unless you are fewer than 20 minutes out from the ADR time.

Do you have a direct flight into MCO? There can always be flight delays even on a direct one.

I don't know. If I could push that ADR back an hour, I would.

Ask yourself this... are you willing to pay the money if you miss the reservation?

So much can happen on travel days that there is always a chance, no matter how well planned, that something will go wrong.

If everything goes perfectly and there are no flight delays and no delays with ME you should make it. But from experience those things can happen and throw you off by hours. I'm usually pretty hesitant to make an ADR for arrival day but if I do I usually give at least a 6 hour window from landing to the time of the ADR.

I'd feel more comfortable doing a taxi to be honest. Our plane arrived on time in September but the magic express was not magical. There wasn't much of a line for GF but it was a long wait for some reason. Once on the bus we were the unlucky resort, last on the list, last out of 5 resorts, yes that was a 5. Two and a half hours later we were at GF. Yikes! Then we had to sort out room requests at the desk which worked out but it took time too. I don't know what the ME lineup is for SSR but I would try to figure out how many resorts are grouped with it. If you don't care about checking the room out and unloading then its probably going to be fine.

Thanks everyone for your input. Taking everything into consideration , I just don't like the time line. Maybe its the retired military in me but I never expect things to go smoothly with as many variables in play here. I will just skip the ADR on our arrival day.
