We just came back a few weeks ago.
We are a family of 5-dh, me, dd (7), ds (nearly 5) & dd (2 1/2).
We took 2 suitcases & we brought one more collapsable one as a just in case.
One suitcase was the medium size one & the other was a smaller one (not sure if it is too big for a carry on but I think it can be one, I think).
We went for 9 days, so I brought laundry detergent. DH & I had 4 shorts each with an extra "ut oh I have no more clean shorts left so I will wear these junky ones" we each had 4 to 5 shirts plus our unmentionalbles.
My older 2 had 5 outfits each & my youngest had 6.
Carry-ons..ugh...
My kids each had their LL bean critter packs basically with gum, a package of candy a book & their blankies & their 'friends' (stuffed animals). My youngest had a smaller back pack.
DH had his computer back pack & a rolling back pack & I had a bag with diapers in it.
Plus we had the stroller & car seat for the plane.
Some how we managed.
I did get smart with this trip though. Since we only had 2 checked bags & we arrived in terminal B & had to go to A or vice versa for Jet Blue. I told dh I would wait up on the main floor (by the Disney shop) in Orlando with the kids & our carry ons while he went to get the baggage. The previous 2 trips we all went which was so horrid going down there with all that stuff & then going back up to go backdown (and one trip was with only 1 kid & the other was with 2 kids).
Anyways you will manage.
