We are going on the land and sea - will be at POFQ from July 3 - 7, then on the Wonder until the 10th. We can't get a flight out until the 11th. We do have a room booked at the Airport Econo Lodge, but I have had some second throughts.

Is it possible to go from the cruise to the AKL? I'm assuming we would have to go to the MCO and then get on the ME to the AKL for our last day and then ME back to the airport on the 11th?

I'm hoping you understand what I'm asking. I'm really trying to talk DH into doing this as it will possibly be our DGD's only disney holiday, and both DH and I have health issues which may prevent us going back.

Also, do you think it is worth going back to Disney or should we just stay at the econolodge. We anticipate getting back from the cruise at the MCO around noon and our flight is at 1:30 the next day.

Yes, it is very doable.

When disembarking the Wonder you can take the DCL bus to AKL. No need to go to the aiport to take ME bus. Of course you'll have to pay whatever DCL's fee is for that, I can't recall exactly at this time. But, you'd have to pay for transfers to the airport anyway. And, you can take the ME from AKL to MCO. :)

To me, it is most definitely worth going to WDW even though you're departing the next day in early afternoon.

I had my TA check into what I wanted to do - she checked with Air Canada Travel, with whom I book our trip, and directly with Disney and was told not available until 2006. I really wanted to end our trip with a one night deluxe stay. Anyone have any more ideas for me?

What is not available until 2006?

Since your DIsney Cruise Lines package, land first then sea, ends with you back at the airport on the 10'th, it is a no-brainer to take ME to Animal Kingdom Lodge and back as a separately booked stay. Search the airline schedules for a flight arriving around noon and give the ME reservation agent that flight number.

You won't have much time to enjoy the parks on the 11'th since for your 1:30 PM plane you need to be all set and ready to board the ME bus at AKL about 10:30.

Make sure to book AKL "room only" - no package - since you will only be staying there overnight and your flight is at 1:30.

BTW - the only real issue should be whether or not there is availability at AKL. As of last week I was able to book "room only" for a friend over the 4th of July (AP rate - not rack).

I would call Disney directly and see what they can do.

DCL is telling your TA that they do not provide transfers back to WDW after a cruise? I think there may be some miscommunication. As part of an overall package maybe it cannot be done. But, I'm quite sure DCL will sell you the transfers from, and back to, WDW at $59/person. If they don't have enough folks for a motor coach they use a van. They do this for the 7-night cruises.

I'd be quite surprised that Disney wouldn't make it easy for you to get back to WDW so you can share more of your vacation fund with them. :)
