Is this do-able? HEA, FP for 7DMT, then Once Upon a Time?

Hi all, we will be in MK on Sun Nov 11th - I know it will be bonkers-crowded. We never got to see Happily Ever After or Once Upon a Time, so they are must-do's for us this trip. I also just got a FP for 7DMT that evening. For some reason I thought Once Upon a Time happened before HEA (like how "celebrate the magic" was before Wishes), but it's later. Anyway, do you think this is doable?

9:00-9:20 HEA
9:20 - FP for 7DMT
9:45 - Once Upon a Time

I imagine it will be a sea of humanity for HEA - not sure if it's realistic to head over to 7DMT or if we should just stay put? I know it is very difficult to navigate through those hub evening crowds. We are doing Early Morning Magic on Tues Nov 13th so we can ride 7DMT then, but would love to ride it at night if we can.

Appreciate the input!

Is 9:20 the START time for your FP? If it is the start time, you have until 10:20 (even longer with the 15 min grace period) to ride 7DMT. OUAT will be over long before 10:20, so just stay put and then go ride.

Agree with this if your FP window is 9:20-10:20.

Generally speaking I think HEA from the Hub to 7DMT FP and back for OUAT is a tall task. You have a lot working against you... crowds in the Hub will make walking time to 7DMT longer than normal. The FP line could be flooded with folks who have held off riding before the show and once over head to the ride. Then you have to make it back to the Hub. Unless you just hit everything perfectly, I would keep expectations of success low, in my opinion.

That's what I was thinking... I know it is a short distance but the complete congestion of bodies may make it tough. Also the line of people in the FP line was not something I was thinking of.....

Any thoughts on why they schedule HEA at 9 and OUAT at 9:45??? Seems it would be better to do it the way they used ot schedule Celebrate the Magic and Wishes....

Would you say OUAT is a must if we've never seen it?

Thanks again....

Yeah, OUAT is sometimes before and sometimes after HEA. It is generally after during times when park closing is later. But it shifts around.

I think OUAT is cute and has great music. I’m not crying if I miss it, but if we’re around we’ll stop to watch. It’s a nice way to end an evening.

On some level it’s just more castle projections - which while very cool - can kind of get a bit stale after awhile, to me at least.

I used to LOVE CtM and would go out of my way to see it. I don’t have the same feeling with OUAT, but I also don’t think it’s bad entertainment either.

As to getting to 7DMT after the fireworks, FYI the path through and to the left and right of the castle will be closed after the show. Your best bet is the bridge to Fantasyland towards Tea Cups. I am not sure but I think the castle paths are also closed for OUAT as well (not totally sure about that).

Good luck!

Aaaah, I forgot to mention that MK closes at 10 on this day (just extended from 9:00, which is why I was able to get the 7DMT FP). If they expand to 11 we would stay put and then go after OUAT.

Still undecided if we will try to do all of this or not, but thanks @GADisneyDad14 for the intel regarding what path to take.

My goodness those non-party nights are crowded. I remember last year, a man lifted a stroller (with a child inside!!) OVER HIS HEAD to try to get through the crowd faster. Unfortunately that image is burned into my brain as what getting out after fireworks looks like.

I was just popping in to say that MK closes at 10pm on Nov 11th. You might be able to get to SDMT after OUAT but that will depend on where you are and how bad the crowds are as you will be moving against the flow.

Personally I'd go and enjoy HEA and OUAT and leave SDMT for your EMM hours. If it were me, I'd be far less stressed this way and enjoy the evening shows without thinking about the best way to try to get the SDMT before 10pm.
