Is this do-able? Breakfast and rope drop?

We have to ADR's for character breakfasts at 10:30 (or so) one in GF and one at Contemporary, I was originally thinking we would just get a late start on those days but completely bummed that we would not be in MK for rope drop. I have a dd who will be 5 that week and I sense that we will be spending a lot of time in Fantasyland. Would we make better use of our time if we got to MK at rope drop, did some things in Fantasyland and then leave for breakfast and come back? How long does it take to get to GF or Contemporary from MK?

If you leave MK by 10am, you should be okay for both. The Contemporary is right across the street from MK, just a little past the resort bus stops. You can easily walk it within 1/2 hour. For the GF, you'll need to take the Monorail and make a whole loop, but I don't believe that takes more than 10 minutes. The main issue would be waiting for the Monorail. I'm not sure how often they run. But I imagine every 10 minutes or so.

I'm assuming you're doing Chef Mickeys and 1900 Park Fare. Have fun, those are two of the best CMs!!!

I say go for it, just make sure to take a break @ lunch so the little one has time to recoup!

Rope Drop followed by a late breakfast or early lunch is my favorite kind of day at Disney. Depending on the season you will have at 2/3 hours of fun at the parks and then be ready for a nice sit down meal.

Thank you, I don't know why I did not think of this before, I thought "all was lost" with a 10:30 ADR, but I really want to take advantage of the morning hours so we don't drop from heat!

Yes, Chef Mickey and Supercali are where we are headed!

You can also take the boat back to the GF from the MK vs taking the monorail back.

It stops at the GF before it goes to the Poly (right I am not crazy on that one).
