Is this cutting the line or what!?

i think it is a good deal i should use next time my 3 year old and 4 year old love that ride and we usually end up doing is we both wait in the line. i should try that whoever thought of that was a genius

it's fine. have fun. :thumbsup2

Oh wise one of the under 20 posts...

Laugh at the statement, if you like, but explain how "handing a child over a fence" is an acceptable way of entering a queue?

:rotfl:

I only brought it up because the attitude of the non-relay bunch seems to be that you "earn" your ride by waiting in line - doing nothing but wait in line. I was just pointing out that the child swap, a Disney sanctioned practice, allows you to go off and do a completely different attraction or shop or eat, thus not having to "just" wait, and yet still come back and ride.

Not any worse than the relay, IMO. Again, no flames from me, if Disney allows it, who cares what we think?

ITA :thumbsup2

Am I the only one who thinks the WHOLE fastpass system negates the idea that you "earn" your ride by waiting in line??? I haven't seen people say "shut down the Fastpass System, it's just not fair!" Disney does these things... Fastpass, Child Swap and unofficially sanctions the Bubba Chuck Relay for a reason! They want us all to be happy and get the most out of our trip so we will want to come back.

:crazy2: I can't believe I read all the posts in this thread! Quick...Where is a line?...I must have a line...must cut line...I can't help myself...

Anyone else get the feeling this has run its course? However...I'm keeping her alive..bwaaahaaa...

This is how you get more than 20 post :thumbsup2

If you post and post and don't say anything it makes you wise.... :rotfl2:

One's number of posts does not make one an expert. I'd bet I spend more time there than 95% of the people on these boards.

I was wondering if there was a committee, like the miller light "man's rule" committee which oversees "approved method(s) of loading guests"...

too rich :rotfl2:

what if, just imagine, now, what if they walk under the rope. how would the committee vote?

Again, it is not a problem.

Great idea ^^^

Lets hijack this post and start a "DIS'ers" of the Mouse"eared" table.

First Mouse law...

In honor of my favorite man law "you poke it, you own it" If you poke the Turkey leg when delivering it, you own it.

Aaaah, so you're one of the people giving us dirty looks as we breeze past you when we're in the Fast Pass line! :rotfl2:

You 'earn' your fast pass by delaying the gratification of riding it sooner.

2 children yes, it's line jumping. 1 child no, it' just working the system. If you end up taking "my" elephant though (kid decides to ride solo), prepare to hear about it.

I thought I hijacked this thread?? pirate:

Whats going on here..we are talking about the DISers of the Mousetable.

I read on Disney's website that you can swap without having to wait an extra long time when you have a young child that can not go on the ride. One parent stays with the toddler while the other parent and child go on the ride and then when they get off the child joins the other parent back in the line to go on the ride with the other parent. I do not see anything wrong with this it is not like the other parent skipped the line they waited there the whole time. This option allows families with very young children to have fun and not miss out because they have smaller children. I know I thought it was great and will use it if it is available to me.

Exactly!! That was my point! You must have missed my earlier comments, because I was being sarcastic! I am not stupid enough to not use a Fastpass, but it just kills me how some on this post were saying that Child Swap and this Relay are line cutting. And some were having a tone of "You really have to WAIT in line to EARN the ride." Comments like "if your enjoying another ride or shopping instead of waiting in line then you are cutting" YEA! That's called Fastpassing! I was Negating their comments, I don't actually think Fastpass is cutting! :goodvibes

And you point is well taken that the delayed ride is how you earn your ride, so we can say that Parents waiting in a line apart from their party so that their little one can ride again is missing the first experience with them. Same with a Child Swap. Mom can't experience ride with Tommy because Sue is too little. Disney gives us Child Swap So Mom can go with Tommy too! And she may very well have been shopping while Dad and Tommy rode. And she may have been so happy that she gets to ride with Tommy that she buys Sue a toy and a popsicle! HMM. Disney is smart! Mom is shopping instead of waiting in line!
