I would also like to have this service, but no I wouldn't want it at night either. I don't have kids to worry about, and as for sleeping, that's what my ear plugs are for.

but then when people are allowed to drive up and down the street blasting there radios....when nothing gets down about that...oops sorry another topic there.

I am wondering if they were trying to get in done before rains or storms came in, or if they just like being annoying because they have to work late..

OMG, I'd be so happy to have this service (as long as was an occasional loud annoyance rather than once a week or so), I'd get them some danish to go with DawnCT's coffee.

Yeah, in our city it's funny how Monday is spelled T-h-u-r-s-d-a-y.

I'd be happy with them being only 3 or 4 days off -- I'm thinking at this point, the damn leaves are going to be sitting on the curb all winter.

Mal, I think you have a right to be upset. Taxpayers money is going to pay these guys overtime to work at 9:30 at night and you have a little one that needs to go to sleep. I completely see your point. Here, we rake the leaves, well, *most* people rake the leaves and put them into the paper leaf bags which are *supposed* to be picked up on trash day. Sometimes they are, sometimes it's the following week - if you're lucky. BTW, they pick up here early in the morning...seven-ish.
