Is This Allowed?

Have her create a dummy MDE profile just for the value room if you're really concerned about the MDE overlap....while I understand the friend feeling uncomfortable about sharing space, it's going to be a headache coordinating park arrival times, etc.

Some good advice on the issues your facing and how to potentially navigate. Another issue is how to get back and forth. If she's driving herself I don't know if that will cause a stir at the hotel after a few days or not. Since there are no direct resort to resort buses she could be spending a lot of time getting back & forth. Uber/Lyft might be the better option. :)

If she's driving another option might be an off-site stay, the SpringHill Suites at Flamingo Crossing is about 5 miles away and much cheaper. Might also look at rates at Swan/Dolphin too.

What about a room at the Swan/Dolphin? It's just a short walk from YC, and since they do not issue magic bands for room keys less likelihood of creating system glitches with MDE.

I would have her make a fake MDE account for her room only reservation at the value.

Leave her on your reservation so she can use SAB.

As for the logistics of her getting to the parks to meet you or meeting you at the resort...I would leave that to your DD. I wouldn't get in the middle of it. I would let my DD know the plans and they can plan accordingly.

My question is the friend going to be able to remt a room at age 20?

yes. Book your room for 5. leave her on the reservation. She can then use the pool.

Doesnt matter where she sleeps. if she is on your reservation...she can use the pool.

As long as she has a credit card. My son is 19 and I have him as an authorized user on one of my credit cards.

18 years of age and a Credit card is the only requirement.
Just an FYI-
When stayed at the Beach Club last summer they scanned each of our magic bands as we entered the pool area and then put a bracelet on each of us each day at the pool so if her magic band doesn't register as her staying at BC/YC they aren't going to let her in.

But if she's still on the reservation it's not a problem.

Wow. This is a great idea. It might cost a little more, though, than staying at a value. But, by keeping her on the YC reservation and then making a separate reservation at Swan or Dolphin (whichever is cheaper, IMHO), it means DD's friend get DME directly to the YC and then can just walk over to Swan/Dolphin to check-in, plus walking back and forth to meet up for pool and park days. Vice-versa for check-out day. There would be zero interference with MDE as well. Keeping in mind ubering back and forth from a value could be about $20+ more a day, it evens out the cost a little (though DD's friend could do Friendship Boats to DHS and bus from there - that's quite a hassle though)

Suspicious of what?

Yeah, I'm not getting it. As long as OP doesn't exceed occupancy on their room and they go to the front desk to legitimately add someone to it, there is zero problem with adding a guest at the resort after check-in. Trying to sneak people in is suspicious. Adding people on to your room in an up-front manner at the front desk isn't.

I would leave her on your reservation. I would also have her create a "dummy" MDE profile and use that one to book her room at the value resort. This is the only way to ensure she can use SAB "legally" AND won't have any MDE issues.

I would also recommend her main/legit MDE profile be the one linked with you at YC so that its the one used for all her FPs and on ADRs. If the dummy MDE profile is only used for the room at the value resort, it would just cause the least confusion IMO.

I think it was suggested they add the friend as a day guest every day they plan to swim, which is several days. Not to add her as a regular guest, just a day guest & not pay the extra adult room charge. To add the same “day guest” most days of your stay might make the hotel staff question it. And adding her most days so she can use your hotel amenities without paying for them just doesn’t seem right to me personally. Disney allows it, yes. But we don’t know they would allow it most days of the OPs reservation.

Yes, totally agree with that. If I were to add a guest post-check-in, I would fully expect to pay the extra adult fee for that night if we exceeded two adults on the room. I guess I missed the part where someone suggested they add onto the reservation for free. I suppose that is at the discretion of the front desk CMs.

Just another thought - I don't know when you are going, but, have you considered renting points for a BCV studio? If that were available at a reasonable cost, you could take DD's friend off the YC reservation entirely (and even consider taking DD off). That would save you two extra adult fees that could be put toward the studio rental and everyone is then entitled to the use of SAB. The girls would be at BCV and you would be at YC, right next door. Just a thought.

The same day guest every day of the stay? Isn't that suspicious?

I had no idea my suggestion would get me accused of doing something wrong. We always follow the rules. What did I say wrong?

Our adult son does not always want to stay in our room or at our resort. It would actually be much cheaper if we just paid the extra adult per night fee. However, for him to visit and enjoy the resort with us without staying the night in our room, the resort manager has added him as a day-guest.

No, I did not say free. Sneaking an adult in your room at night without paying the extra fee is suggesting free.
