I want to create a sign that says honeymoon to tape to the outside of the door to the room. Is this allowed? I would take it off at the end of the stay and I don't think tape would hurt the door. Will they take this down?

Instead of a sign that needs to be taped, why not make (or buy) something you could hang on the door handle? That would avoid the tape issue all together. I've seen a ton of custom hotel door hangers on etsy.

I second placing the sign on the inside of the window as opposed to the door. Even if it is allowed you never know who will swipe it.

No tape, no adhesive etc. I would never attach anything to the doors.

Make the sign with a notch at top, get a clear suction cup with hook (dollar store has bags) then hang it in your window if you have one (value and moderates).

If you are in a deluxe hotel with only a hallway, no window, I agree to look at the door handle hanging kind ... treat yourself to a custom made one and then take it home as a memory.

You can use magnets on the door, but not tape or anything that could damage or leave residue. I typically decorate my window and door during our stays. Our last visit, though, my magnets were not strong enough for the door, but the magnets are pretty weak.
