Is this allowed on the Dining Plan?

We are going to the World in October. As of right now, we did not purchase the dining plan. We have done it before, just not sure it is worth it now without the tip.

Question: There are 3 of us, DH, DS, and myself -- 10 nights. Therefore, 30 CS, 30 TS, and 30 snacks. On the weekends, we have a guest joining us. If we have leftover meals, can we use the meals on a guest at all. I mean, the cards usually just have your total number loaded on the card. So, does it matter how they are used and who uses them.

Just curious as to what is allowed or not?? I would guess it would not really matter with the CS, but with the TS, you have to order 4 dinners and pay OOP for the 1 guest. What if you had leftover meals, could we just use 4 TS for one of those meals??

Disney has made it so you will not be able to order more table service meals than you are entitled to. In other words, if your KTTW card says 2AD 1CH (2 adults/1 child), you won't be able to order more than 2 adult meals at a time. You can get away with it at counter service though. It does not matter to Disney that you will have leftover credits. You either use them or lose them.

It's definitely not allowed. If you read the brochure, you will see it says meal entitlements cannot be used by/shared with people not on your package.

While it isn't allowed, expressly, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I've observed it as recently as my honeymoon. Should they do it? No. But sometimes the servers cave. If paying for just 1 person OOP doesn't sit right with you, then I would not get the DDP. You could essentially charge that person's meals to your room and just pay for them and it wouldn't really seem different - just a couple more signatures.
