Is this a wise hotel choice?

Currently, I'm booked with a room only ressie (one day earlier!) for Dec.15th at CSR. We are also booked with a package (including DDP) for Dec.16-21. We are two adults.

My rate for 12/15 is $123 at CSR...HOWEVER....

I was looking at rates last night, and for about $60 more I can book a studio room at either SSR or OKW for that same night.

My only thing is whether or not it is worth it for just that one day. I mean, come on...$60 more for a DVC place for a night?! It's worth it to me cost wise, but not sure if we will need such a big place for one night.

Just wondering others thoughts on this, AND which do you think is better OKW or SSR? (i'm leaning towards SSR).

Is your DDP on the 16th at CSR too? If so, then you'll have to check out and in again(can be quick and eay), but will very likely keep your room, so no changing necessary. You can settle in when you arrive

The one time we changed room I felt that we lost a day of our trip because we had to check out early, new room was not ready until late that afternoon....then unpack etc..

Would rather get settled in a resort, but not everyone feels that way. If you really want to try DVC t then this would be a way to do that..and stay at the one that draws you the most...SSR is newer, OKW older, very tropical, but needs some freshening up.

I wouldn't switch for just one night. Too much of a hassle.
