Is this a school vacation week somewhere in the area? It's Monday and the park is as crowded as the weekend was, and I wasn't expecting that!!

I was there on a Sunday and Monday recently and Monday seemed more crowded. Might be the norm now.

Mondays have been really busy in the parks for some time now. I hope you'll post back if you go back tomorrow and let us know if it lets up. That's what happened for us last October. Monday was as crazy as the weekend, then Tuesday was blissful.

Yes for some reason Monday's have been crazy! We were there in September for 4 days and Monday was the worst (Fri-Mon)!

Any time after the first week of march is going to be busier. You now have school performances and spring breaks. One of each at least a week if not two. And then it's summer. IMO it won't calm down until into September.

Our school (and others in Arizona) had Friday and Monday (today) off they called it April break. We toyed with the idea of driving over, but were just there in March and have trips scheduled for July and October...

With the wind today I'm glad we aren't driving back as it's no fun driving across the desert with 40-50 mph gusts after a day in the parks! Its my way of dealing with the let down of not going this weekend...:)

We had Friday & Monday off from school as well (Arizona) and spent all day Friday, Sunday and 2 hours Monday in the parks. We drove home to Phoenix yesterday and the wind wasn't too bad. We left Anaheim by 11:30 and we're in North Phoenix by 5 with 3 pit stops. Not bad.

I have noticed Mondays are just really crowded. We were surprised when went on February 1st.

We are here right now, since Sunday. It's crowded. Today (Tuesday) we did rope drop at DCA.. headed straight to Toy Story and it wasn't running (still isn't at almost 11am). California Screamin is also closed for the day (I didn't know about this closure). And the grizzly river run and symphony swings (as scheduled). With so many things down... Everything else seems very, very crowded.

Yikes, that stinks!

I was trying to feel better about not going...:( just kidding...We live in NW Peoria and would have the same drive. Glad you had a great time. We will be flying in July as I will be going as part of a conference and family will meet me the next day. Too bad about the closures, but a day at the DLR is better than a day anywhere else even if most everything was closed in my opinion!

Sorry :guilty: I hope you guys have a blast in July! :earsboy:

We're also planning to go in October!

Definitely busier than we had expected. We came from the East coast and I checked a few crowd calendars that predicted a 4 at MK. Seems more like a 7-8 to me. So many things went down this morning which didn't help. Ugh! I am hoping tomorrow will be better.

We're just back at our hotel for an afternoon break, and I have to say I think today is even busier than yesterday. I'm surprised because even "Is it packed" predicted today to be quiet.
We did get stuck on Alice in Wonderland, and Indy and Pirates were closed early this morning, but they were back up a while ago.
We're still managing okay with our fast passes and we had a great hour even after MM riding Splash, Winnie the Pooh and Haunted Mansion.
Still love Disneyland. I'm beginning to believe what others have suggested that maybe there really are no more quiet times. C'est la vie.

I'm here today. Bummed about California Screaming. I was going to do two days DCA but I might just add an extra DL day as I've already ridden a lot and only have a couple that I plan to hit tonight before WOC.

However I didn't think it was all that crowded.

Yes! We did the last 3 days in a row; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. We got so much done Sunday morning (Disneyland) during the first 2 hours. Monday seemed busier than Sunday and today (Tuesday) felt even busier! Maybe it's because we were in DCA for most of the time...?! Even Little Mermaid had a posted wait of 20 mins this afternoon. We're still managing okay as well with using fast passes. Yesterday was frustrating as Cars broke down right when we went to use our fastpass, and then the same thing happened with tower of terror shortly after.

We spent most of today in DCA, and hopped over briefly to DL in the afternoon. We checked out Toon Town and rode roger rabbit. I couldn't believe the number of strollers parked by Small World.. And toon town was crazy too. 60 minute wait for Mickey and 45 for Minnie. I knew it would be busy when we went.. But for a Tuesday at the end of April... I'm still surprised at the crowds.

((Sounds like I'm complaining.. Lol. But we're still have a really fun time!))

Fireworks were also cancelled both Sunday and Monday nights (not sure about tonight... We went the the LA Angels game!). I reeeeeally want to see them. Thursday and Friday are our last chance. Fingers crossed the winds die down!

LOL! You have the exact same schedule as we do! I'm very curious to see what tomorrow brings. We're doing a half day at DCA and half at DL. Enjoy your days!

This week is Passover vacation for many. I saw some of my East Coast friends posting pictures from DL this week. I don't know about elsewhere, but all NYC public schools are off this week for Spring/Passover Break.

We did our magic morning this morning (8am Magic morning). We arrived at 7:30 and it was already very crowded. We went to Peter Pan first because we hadn't done it yet. We had about a 30 minute wait to get on. By the time we were off it was 8:45. Everything in fantasyland was packed. Went over to Tomorrowland.. Waited in line for a Star Tours fastpass.. Which opened at 9am. So only one ride during our MM. So busy!

There isn't really a down time at Disneyland, it's always going to be busy. I always kind of assume starting mid-march until end of summer that there will be crowds and you just have to work with what you got. Don't rely on the crowd calendars that numerous sites say are accurate because they tend to be inaccurate for DL.
