We have a booking with vh for oct and we want to try and take my. Other in law as we just lost our father in law to cancer. Now i bave a one bed booked and to add her with virgin its costing 1600 to get a flight and tickets its just under 1000

Now would there be a problem if she sleeps in our room?

~There is a flight sale on when you are going so I dont understand how the cost is that much. Cant you book the flight with VA direct instead for the same date?

Also with regard to the accommodation I would contact Disney direct and not go through vh - because the booking is for the room only. The only problem I can see is the dining plan, as I know like me you have the free dining, you might not be able to add that for your MIL:confused3 because the offer was to take out before a certain date.

Good luck sorting it out, hope it works out for you

Yes i saw theybsale thats what got us thinking

Disney wont add her to our booking as we have booked it through virgin holidays

Vh are saying the price for flighst have gone up etc and i think its alot of money when i can getit alot cheaper.

Shewont get the free dining if we add her on our booking she will have to pay for it

If it was me I would get the flight separate and wing it for the rest.

Basically you could add her to your reservations and pay extra for her meals:confused3

and if it was a problem when you were there, pay Disney extra but as you are staying at ssr there is no extra charge (or were you staying at okw?) as the cost is based on the accommodation:confused3

Park tickets she could buy when she was there at the booths.

Yes okw, this isvwhat were were thinking, book flight get 14 day ticket and wing it but didnt want to get there and she cant stay with us!

If you're confident you will fit her in your room then I personally would go for the flight and Tkts option

Is she's not getting free dining then there's no need to worry about the KTTWC and all being linked to the one booking & she can just have her normal tkts and then pay for her meals as you go along.

Technically you have paid for the Room and VH will have paid Disney for this - not per person - so I can't see how this would be an issue - I might be wrong?

Higgy thisnis my thinking, room is paid and we are onlyb two adults and then 23 month old twins who will be in pack and plays so she could stay on the sofa bed. I was all up for just getting flights and tickets and even if she eats everywhere i have booked it will be cheaper than whatbvirgin holidays have quoted

Dont wanna get caught and chucked off disney for having her stay in our room

The complex is so big, how would they know? Dont say anything when you check in is what I would do

They only thing is she wont have a room key as ours will have tickets on, not sure how we would get round that

Ask for 2 room keys that isnt a problem. We usually have 2 and will probably do that this October

I would just book the flight and tickets, no way will disney know.

You are going to be stuck with the room key though as they're not going to provide you with 3 keys for 2 adults plus you have the tickets on the key, for early/late magic hour just say you lost your key and get a duplicate and she can show this for MH. (it obviously wont be active).

Just realised though - that doesnt work as they are connected to the park tickets -doh!

Are you going to have occasions when your MIL doesnt come with you to the parks? It isnt a problem if you are not going to the parks to let her have one of the cards to allow herself back into the villa but it will be if you want to go to the parks and she doesnt:confused3

You can add her at check in:thumbsup2 she will get a KTTW but no dining credits.

Can u for sure add her at check in? I called disney and was told i could then i couldnt so am really confused by it all, dont want her to pay over the top

As its a package you will not be able to add her to room at check in(DDP has to be added at least 3 days prior)
Would just use one of your keys to let her in,
When your checking in just have here in background looking after young ones(they only need one person to check in with photo id)
For parks no problem as she will have her own ticket
For EMH she would have to have a room key and the problems lies there
Its up to you but me would just keep stum and have her in my room

What about bedding though, as they will not be catering for her?

plenty of bedding in a DVC unit, extra usually kept in wardrobe or ring house keeping if you require more

Currently any changes you make have to be done through VH because they "own" your package which is why Disney could/would not make any changes when you talked to them.

VH will release your package to Disney shortly before you go so once you arrive at OKW you can add your MIL to your reservation. The room capacity in a 1 BR at OKW is 4 + 1 toddler under the age of 3 so you'll be fine. There will be no additional fee a third adult in the villas. You won't be able to get the dining plan for your MIL, but she will get her own KTTW.

If you are planning to use Magical Express to get to OKW, your MIL won't be able to do so because she won't be on your reservation until after you arrive at the resort...unless VH has a different arrangement with ME.

Hiya - First i'm so sorry for your loss and think it's so kind of you to now take your MIL away with you.

Have you tried to phone the hotel direct, instead of tour op? and just tell them that you are booked and ask how many people does the room sleep, you might need to tell them all of your names as part of health and safety (i dunno really) - there would be room with the 2 double beds etc. And say that she is travelling on separate booking but will be sharing room, and ask if they need to know any details.

I would phone hotel direct just to find out as i would be worrying about it.

Good luck and have a safe journey. :goodvibes
